It's a Mustang dyno. I am sure you can take Eric up on the challenge when you install your LSD.

If, in fact, there is no standard, whats the point (unless your realling racing). See http://dinancars.com/whitepapersFile.asp?ID=9

Isn't the real test what makes you happy? I'm not trying to be funny or facetious but a number is a number. If you smile as you motor on ... priceless

Now with Randy new exhaust ... beyond priceless
It's just a hobby/obsession.......my man hood is not connected......well maybe.......

This car has given me more entertainment than I could have imagined. My other hobbies are guitars and bikes......you would be amazed at the difference a brand of tubes makes to the tone of your amp.....or saving 30 gr using a Ti part on a bike. I reality very little but there is a pride of ownership and satisfaction that comes from improving your "rig"......

Very good point
As you do know it is a HUGE factor in final HP numbers. We've seen my dyno fan. I estimate that fan alone boosted everyone's numbers that day by at least 15 hp. I've seen boost of around 20 hp.
The fan is not there to make high numbers, it's there to make consistent numbers. A great tool for tuning as I've personally seen my car run 20 dyno runs in a row and never become heat soaked.

Somehow I missed this post........our cars are performing very similarly......I thought Hubie was in AZ? did you drive out there or is he on the east coast?

I am trying to get into my "delta" dyno today.....they are supposed to open at 9 but no one is answering the phone

those runs were made in Jersey before Dr.Fuh moved to AZ. Eric is painstaking about monitoring engine and IAT and does the same cooling fan setup for each run. what was weird about my rig was how unususlly high the IAT would get compared to earlier runs. As I said, the car was not prepped, (I hadn't even looked at the plugs) and we didn't monitor A/F.

Oh, thanks,

A little off topic but what plugs do you like and recommend for me?

Also, next dyno I will be more fastidius and insistent on methods and monitoring.........I have spent all the "stupid" money I care to on meaningless dynos etc.

thanks

That is GREAT, that is what its all about. Nothing like a great hobby to keep one young (that was for me, not you ... looking to stay young)

I just keep seeing all this "dyno this" or "something shootout" looking for hard numbers. Seems it would take the FUN out of having fun.

Your hobby (and maybe someday mine) is PRICELESS

I now have a new goal ... when I grow up I wanna hobby just like SPIDER!

I hope not. I'm hoping for a price. A good price, which will make me consider it over the others.
