Drivetrain Upgraded Supercharger?
Upgraded Supercharger?
I was just wondering, with all the mods available to the MCS I've never come across an aftermarket superchager upgrade.
Is there anyone that has modified to an aftermarket one?

There are at least a couple of companies that do some port/polish work to the superchargers - M7 and Endyne. Probably more out there too but those are the only two that spring to mind.
As far as a completely different supercharger, it would have to have a provision to run the water pump as does the stock one, or adapt a different water pump to the system.

I know of one company here in the UK that runs a M62 on their development car, but they are very publicity shy and I shall not name them until they wish to go public. It is a trick setup though, and they are seeing 245bCrank BHP with everything absolutely stock (running 9psi)
It sounds pretty fruity as well...a lot deeper and more mellow than the frantic M45+reduction pulley.
Cheers,
Henry

IIRC, Randy Webb looked at importing a twinscrew, but the units would have been over $2000, and it didn't make sense price wise to pursue the project. There might have been other factors at play, but that's what I remember...
