WOOWWWW I've seen 3 of the 4 videos (downloading the highway vid right now) and it's simply amazing. Randy I hope you have this system for sale by december so I can get an early christmas present hehe. AMAZING once again, nicest exhaust i've heard, can't wait to hear "all hell breaking loose."

I believe he said in an earlier post he was trying to have it ready before the end of the year, keep your fingers crossed.

Having heard the system in person, I will second Bob and say I don't think it should be any louder, and I agree that the true test is the "can you stand it at 70mph for 3 hours". Around town it sounds great and if its quiet enough at speed for long periods, I wouldn't change a thing. Maybe you could sell it with an option "big/tightly packed muffler" or "noisy muffler".

Thanks to all for the work done in testing and getting sound clips out. Looks like the system I've been waiting for.

So Randy, where is the sign up list for this thing? I wouldn't mind being on the first or second round of production . Any chance the bypass valve switch could take up the empty space in the toggle bank?

Again good work guys.

Nik

That would be absolutely awesome! I think Randy won't have any problem selling 10, 50, or more of these puppies.

Sounds like a helluva drone in that system at cruising speeds. I already built one that sounded like that.

I figured it would have further development, and I'm working on V3 of my custom exhaust, so I know what it takes. There are some things that Randy needs to watch out for in his design, though.

Will - what concerns you other than the cruising speed drone?

EXCELLENT Videos and Commentary. You went WAY out of your way to shoot and comment like you did.

I am SURE the community is thankful for this effort
I am.

Its really not loud at all ... inside the car the SC whine overpowered it.

If the open exhaust is just the headers and CAT, then that will be LOUD!

I have a couple things mulling around looking at the design. I don't want to throw them out and get into a flame war with the usual suspects, tho, so for now I'll wait for all the bugs to be worked out.

Remember that this is how it sounds with a Militek header/cat combo. It will most likely be more quiet with the stock header/cat.

I've been following the continuous-flow modelling that you did of the exhaust and am interested to see what you have come up with. Maybe you could work with Randy to incorporate some elements of his design with some elements of yours:

Might I ask which elements of Will's exhaust intrigue you? He and I have spoken fairly often about it, since we are good friends. I know why I dig Will's idea- I choose to tell him so personally. I'm curious, since you do not say anything specifically here. Please be nice and give him credit where it's deserved .

I wounder with the switch if it would be possible to muffle the sound more for a long trip? then again as long as it's not louder than my supersprint on my X3 I can care less

Spider,

nice clips - sounds good and seems to be well balanced - grut when your on it and quiet on the highway. It will be interesting to hear the "switch open".
Look forward to seeing the dyno numbers opened valve / shut valve.

I'm glad you posted them for the natives were getting restless and I was becoming concerned for your long term health.

Andy, that was a prototype system because I A) wanted to learn to weld, and I've gotten much better and B) wanted to know what effects an exhaust like that really added, since we can rarely trust manufactureres in their claims to transfer to our cars. I got my answers, and have continued development on my own exhaust because I enjoy it. I have the intelligence, education, and tools to analyze systems and find potential weaknesses in simple systems, like my first attempt there, and more complex ones like the WMS exhaust. I'm not trying to say the design is bad, just that it may not be as good as it could be.

And the drone will be unbearable after a very short amount of time, as I found out first hand.
