yeah man I would not have had it any other way, though sometimes it's frustrating, it adds to my on-going mod drama. IE this week I'm ordering M7 Springs, what did I want back last year about this time, but the dealer parts guy talked my dad out of and into the JCW Suspension? That's right M7 Springs!

You're fine Spidey!

My wife has actually warmed up to the whole system over the last couple months. She didn't like it at first, but has learned how to drive it in the lower RPM so as not to draw any attention from most people.

I just did a road trip to the USGP...about 4.5 hours each way and I didn't get annoyed with the exhaust at all. I was at a solid 75+ on the freeway which puts the RPM at 4k in 6th. 4K and above sound so great with this exhaust (non resinator even!) that my wife slept for about 2 hrs on the way back home no problem.

I'm awaiting the resinator, which I know will really round out the first run pieces, and I can imagine that the time Randy is putting into the exhaust will make it the best piece on the market hands down.

Mathew - How long have you had your system on? I've started to notice that in 1st gear only, usually when it's cold, or just warming up I can get a very tinny sound, but it will usually go away after shifting into 2nd, and it happens perhaps once per week (on a daily driver) Is this the same noise you have?

I've had my system since AMVIV and experienced a rattling noise coming from the baffling in the muffler since about May. At WOT, and high RPMs, it literally sounds like thw baffling is flyin around all in the muffler. Brian said he experienced this same sort of thing with his system and assured me that a replacement would be sent out when they finished the new design. I am hopin' that will be soon, but I don't know.

i think this system was out already, and now due to some problems with resonators and manufacturing issues the production has ceased. i may been wrong though.

You are a little off in your assumption. We brought the production in house in order to cut on cost, shipping, and prototyping. The system is in final stages of development. There is a production model on my car right now, which we are using for longevity testing(street, highway, track).

The muffler sounds GREAT! I will try and get a recording this afternoon for you guys.

Also, for all you Gen 1 guys who are looking to get a replacment muffler, we will post an anouncment as soon as the system is in production on how to get the new unit.

Thanks!

And what are all of these rumors about us closing up shop? We havent been this busy in a long time. We could use some more online order though . That is what needs to keep us alive when our shop is not working full bore.

Yes, a comparison to WMS Gen 1 and competitive products would be really helpful as soon as the final product is available. Sound, performance & design changes are of interest.

Finally, I visited Randy's shop in Littleton, CO last week. The physical plant and equipment at WMS are quite impressive, indeed.

I saw the prototype of the new WMS CAI, as well as the almost final version of the exhaust system. The exhaust was on Brian's car that is equipped with a 3" header. I was quite impressed with the very acceptable sound level. The exhaust is in the final testing stage, and Randy plans to bring it to market fairly soon. It sounds like a real winner...

Aside from the cool Mini stuff, I got a ride in Randy's turbo-Elise. Holy-moly , that car is freakin' awesome! Acceleration, braking, and handling were truly magnificent!! The only thing that spoiled the ride for me was that Randy had to help me get out, and that was with the top down .

From my observations, WMS is alive and well, with some really neat stuff to be released fairly soon, and with some equally impressive prospects already in the developmental pipeline . Don't ask, because I have been sworn to secrecy .

Well, I said I would wait patiently for this exhaust, and I'm still doing so. I can't wait to see what Brian and Randy have worked up for us on the exhaust.... especially if a 3" header is part of the package or an option!

Keep us posted Randy and Brian!

It'll be fun listening to that sound at ACU won't it?

Yeah really... everyone will be scratching their heads wondering if all that noise is coming from the Mini on track, trying to see the race car that's probably started the run 30 seconds behind it.

It'll be that whole, "with great power comes great responsibility" thing... I need to learn better throttle control.
