A bit OT but just wondering, Short Bus, you alway mention your old "miata". Sounds like you'd rather have that? just wondering

BTW, I was wondering, does anyone know if there are sound clips anywhere online of the alta intake? before I bought mine I was looking for some clips but couldnt find any, so im thinking of makin a small comparison video while installing mine next week since that would prolly be helpful to others looking to buy it. id need a someone to host the vid tho =\ if anyone is down for that lemme know.

I am looking at the JCW intake with the option of loud or quiet....

thanks!

The 15% pulley (and for that matter the 17% pulley) make virtually no difference in noise from the stock pulley in my experience except very near the redline, where I heard just a bit more supercharger whine. Not at all noticeable below 6500 RPM for me.

What? The whine is optional... It can be controlled even with an aftermarket intake.. I've had several turbo cars in the past.. All of them had lag, hit the pedal and wait.. The underhood temps are also much higher since you have this large lump of metal attached to the exhaust manifold. This is my first SC car. I love the instant low end torque even from this small 1.6L engine. SC do not have the high HP potential of a turbo, but you get the power when you want it... no waiting... for the street and track the SC rules... Linear torque is far better to have then the on/off power of a turbo.

I wouldn't have gotten my mini so "soon" if i didn't wreck my miata I love both the mini and the miata A LOT. But since i want to keep the MINI stock as long as i can hold out, there isn't much to say about a stock car that any other new owner wouldn't be going nuts over Don't worry, i obsessed over the MINI since late 02/early 03. But i was NOT in a position to pay for it myself at 17, and my parent's surely weren't paying a cent on any vehicle i'll be driving. (oh, and once i put the car in my name only, there will be a miata parked beside it.. i wouldn't RATHER have a miata... i want BOTH!)

I usually say something about how "i know i'm always talking about my miata, but..." But i figured not many people noticed, so i stopped using that line

now...back on topic. I wuoldn't mind having a K&N Typhoon. I was thinking about that as my one and only mod
