What are the 300+whp cars doing for fuel systems

I am in the process of redoing my fuel system. Just wanted to see what you twin charge guys are doing to get more fuel. I am planning on a return style setup with a walbro pump.

Just wanted to see if you guys are changing the fuel pump to fuel rail lines and the fuel rail or just simply running a return line back to the fuel tank.

Any info would be great. And if any of you can contact El for me then that would be great also.

uhh, unless you're actually getting 300+WHP, you're going overboard. Just install bigger injectors, it seems the stock returnless fuel system, including pump and rail, are sufficient for 300cHP MCS's. Of course, installing a fuel pressure gauge will help determine if you need to upgrade the pump. I'm not sure why you would want to impliment a return line though.

I am already a bit over 300chp. I am just barely starting to have a lean out at 7,000 rpm. I am planning of doing something north of 320-340 whp.

how is your supercharger holdin up to that 23% reduction??? i cant imagine it will last too long due to over revving the supercharger, has anyone running this setup done a tear down and looked at the supercharger say after 1000 miles??/.

I just had the horn off going to the intercooler the other day and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. I have the intercooler off weekly and have not seen any metal flakes. I have over 15,000 miles on my setup.

wow that is quite impressive, thanks for sharing! do you shift earlier in the rpm band to prevent over revving the supercharger??

You can put bigger injectors in a car all day and still be running lean. My fuel injectors are not the limmiting factor here. The fuel pump, fuel lines, and fuel rails are whats the problem.

How will you reach into the 320+'s, spillman?

Im not using a dry shot I am using a wet shot. I don't plan on changing injectors. I just need to get more fuel to the nitrous/fuel nozzle.

Actually I am seeing a lean out just barely at 7 grand but I can solve that with a different fuel pressure regulator.

And yes all you do is install a bigger jet that goes along with the larger nitrous jet. However I won't be using a larger jet. I will be using another valve all together. Hence the second stage. 75 shot for 1st and then whatever I want to use for 2nd.

I have already accuired the knowledge I wanted from a well respected person who is know longer a part of this community. I think we all know who I am talking about. It seems NAM is no longer the place to go if you need info about something new or something the vendors don't offer. Kind of sad really. I remember the good 'ol days when things really "went down" on here.

I am still in the learning process along with everyone else in the MINI and every other automotive community. I just wish everyone wasn't so scared of trying new things with the car.

I don't think the levels of performance you can reach now are as far as our little 1.6L can be pushed. Call me crazy but sometimes I like to do things a little different then the way they are "supposed" to be done.
