that is very close to what i have, instead of the standard muffler, i went a step forward and got a Magnaflow... Sounds great, not like a ricer car, however deep torquey sound.

ScuderiaMINI... can you post the pics? I want to see how it looks like. Seems like you are the first one I found using the Original setup by just replacing the muffler.... Pls pls....

I will post some pics. So far my set-up works perfectly fine, which i think very similar to ALTA. In fact, a friend of mine came to look at it, sounds much deeper and tourquer than his ALTA, and cost 3 times less. The part number for the Magnaflow muffler i used is 11375, and i forgot the part number for the Magnaflow tip.

Here is my future setup. Take a look at Dr.'s last pic, he is using a standard mid pipe, which i will replace with 2.5 instead of 2.25 (which is std) and use SS. and spice it up with magnaflow SS muffler. No resonator, since i like it loud and aggressive. I will pay extra for the nice welding, still will be under $250.00. If you are looking for sound, you got sound, more free flow, there you have more free flow. Just can't justify throwing 7-800 for a brand name, since i have the resources to use exact the same brand mufflers and being a friend of a good muffler shop owner. Here is the link for the part:

http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...ne=main&id=440

you can also get it in polished:

I agree...if i do this myself it'll wind up costing me more. Thanks. The main problem in Miami is finding anywhere decent to do the work.

Oh man, that's a nice muffler.....what makes you decide on the 'offset same end' instead of 'offset/center' or 'offset/offset'? You went for single wall tip or double wall?

Btw, I really neeed the pics man!!! I'm going crazy!

pics are coming, i used dbl wall tip, looks cool. Why did i decide on offset the same end? Explain it a little further, i don't understand. If you are referring to letting the muffler run through the center is offset center, i did not want to jack with the battery box, but again, if that is what you are refering to, other than that, you will need a little curves at the end to increase the backpressure, i believe, in order to protect the mid range torque.

Any reason behind it? Like maybe for sound/power/torque and etc?

it is for practicality reasons for the installation, any of those would work fine, it looked like mine was easier to work with, as far as the exhaust tip and the final pipe which the tip is on is concerned. I seriously looked at the ones you posted, i do not think they would increase the back pressure or sound, would hold the flow a little bit but not big noticable differences. It is all how you design the set up. Unfortunately we have so small spaces to work with . I will take my camera and post some pics tomorrow evening.

Yes please.. We need some pics. From the back, sides, under and all sort of angles..Most important under, so we can see the piping and how it has been done. Cant wait for it! Thanks again!

Anyone have a clue if the one ball mod makes for any more power? Better sound... yes... less weight...yes. Power??

mine felt a little more healthier in the lower rpms, so i am connecting it to the increase of torque. But again, i do not have the stock mufflers, went with Magnaflow and stayed at 2 1/4 piping.

Detonics, i have been working like a dog these days, and keep leaving my camera home, and by the time i am home it is too dark, sorry for the wait.

MAte, is it possible for you to get us a sound clip? I wonder how loud is this setup.

this is the best pic i could get without putting the car on a lift, see the gap between the muffler and the hanger, it is gone, sorry for the manufacturer's defect sound clip, how do i do that? i love the sound and the increased popping, as far as the hp gains, not very noticable, a little torque at lower rpms, hey, it works for me

Thanks for the picture!! I see that the muffler fits well with the existing space. If I were to do this mod, I'll get two mufflers like Milltek/Magnaflow system. This will reduce the noise a lil bit bt not sure if this will increase the power/ torque/back pressure. any comment?

Where is the gorgeous tip?

As for the clip, you are having trouble to record it or posting it here? You can use you camera/mobile/Video Camera. Can someone give him a hand on how to post the clip?

well, two mufflers, hmmmm, that is not a bad idea, but who cares about lower sound, it really does not scream at all, quite torquey, just like the way i wanted, however thiis is personal, some want quite, some loud, i am on the loud side.

Two mufflers, more back pressure, more torque, i really doubt it, especially for couple of hos, would not bother.

Well, my Mini has only one ball.

I should have dyno'd it before and after, just for the heck of it, but I didn't.

I was thinking about a custom 2.5 inch mandrel bent exhaust system, but I was wondering if it was better to go dual exhaust or single. Any preformance gains in either? Should I just go single and save money?

I thought about the dual system, which would copy the original Magnaflow, but like i said before for 1-2 more hp, why spend an extra $90.00 $100.00? The biggest purpose of this mod is sound and a little beteer flow provided by decreased restriction. It is personal, i am opposed to the use of dual mufflers. Wish i could have a chance to record my sound...

I have the ONEBALL as well but the ball is making some vibration. It's the exhaust and not the bracket or what so ever. I'm going to replace them soon!

ScuderiaMini, did you receive my PM?
