uni chip question?

once the uni chip is installed, can it be shut off so to go back to original mapping by switching the toggle swich off? does anyone know if it works like that? or does it have to unpluged completely ?

it is real easy to unplug. Won't take me more than a couple minutes to remove it if I ever want to

No, you route the OEM harness back to it's original routing and you're back to stock. 10 minutes work tops.

Cant turn it off

The toggle switches between two maps, so you can't "turn it off" with the toggle. Mine has two toggles, one for the map choice, the other for the Alta water sprayer on the intercooler (this toggle is labelled Alt)
That's why you keep getting the response that you must unplug it to disable it.

cheers,

What are the parameters for the activation of the Alta water sprayer? Do you have control to also activate the water sprayer manually?

Thanks.

It does not exist. This was something promised to us by a vendor here when we bought the Unichip, but he has since not found the time to pursue it any longer as he needs to take on new customers rather then take care of his old ones.

Angry?....Me .... noooo....

The Alta IC water mister, at the present time, activates by using your rear window washer. If you do not want the wiper to activate everytime you mist the IC, disconnect the rear wiper motor (simple process).

...really?
So when during this "simple process" do I hook it up to the Unichip?

Onasled,

Dude, you gotta publish a warning with your video! Sittin' here at the kitchen table having a tall cool one and nearly fell off the chair on a couple of those long left-handers. Guess a beer and a ride-along just don't mix. What a great ride! Congrats.

... wishing I had a tall cold one right now .... Lucky you.

Sometimes I'll watch these vids laying down on the couch or in bed. It's guaranteed that I'm out cold by the third lap. ... Must be that sound that sooths me to sleep.
