M7 16% pulley installed.

Hello, I finally installed it over the weekend .
It's been over 2 years since I wanted to try this and the wait was well worth it.
Printed out Randy's How To and had at it. The job took me 4 hrs, jacking the engine up was very nerve racking for me because of clearance, but all went well and right back into place and now Brutus runs GREAT and I LOVE the added power!!

I've never dynoe'd my MCS, but believe I got a healthy one from the factory back in Sept. 02. A few buddies I cruise around with have had pulleys on for awhile along with software upgrades, exh., intake and I've managed to hang a few times during a dash or two with exh., intake and some custom work to my intake alone.

M7 16% pulley is nice, glad I waited and got one.

James

Larry may be referring to the first run of pulleys where the thermal coating was too abrasive. We have since upgraded to a more belt friendly material and replaced the few that were sent out .

Is the 16% pulley safe to have on without an ECU upgrade or any power mods for that fact?

It's actually easier, since the pulley is 1% smaller in diam. the belt goes on easier.

I have my moments...

Good to hear you finally got it on James . Glad you like it. Where did you end up finding the part(s) you needed?

Sounds great, James. Just out of curiosity, what has your research taught you that the the 16% was "worth waiting for" as opposed to the typical 15% mod?

Hello Johnny, eh I realy didn't wait for the 16% based on any special research. I waited to get a pulley because I knew I'd be the one installing it. I also wanted to do some custom work on my intake and exh. first so that when I finally did the install, I'd get a little more out of it. I think it paid off, we'll see when I finally get it dynoed.
