With Mini's upgrading their "S" to the Eaton 5th Generation Super Charger and the "improved" exhaust system, has the intake improved as well?

 

Also, have they changed the size of the pulley on the '05?


After all, they got that 7HP somewhere.

 

As I understand MINI played with the ECU to create the additional horsepower for 2005.

 

Hmmm, I noticed that the throttle body has also been moved somewhat, it's mounted at a completely different angle. I noticed that the rubber tube going from the bypass valve to the Supercharger inlet piece is longer.
I think they did in fact improve the intake system with this.
It would'nt surprise me if altering that inlet piece is something BMW would consider a "supercharger upgrade" either.

I'm going to order the inlet piece and see for my self.
