Miltek is installed

My Miltek is installed on my MCS and I love the sound and it seems to make more power at higher RPM but, it seems to have lost power under 3500 rpm. Does anyone know of a Dyno graph showing the Miltek v. stock? Will my ECU "learn" the Miltek or does it need to be re-progammed. Am I nuts or is the comparison of gains at higher RPM v. gains at lower RPM making it seem like there is less power at the low end? Or something else?

The ECU doesn't have to learn anything, but the exhaust does have to break-in! That said, after a few heat cycles [breaking the system in] there should be power gains across the board, a bit down low, and more up top, like you experienced.

I felt the same way too, after I installed, I felt that I need to step more gas to get it move. After about a week of driving, I think either I have already get use to it or, it did pick up the power already.

Today I just installed the Alta intake, I do feel it is more powerful than before I had the intake and the Miltek, possbily the pathway is really opened now.

I guess that normal problem with Miltelk. It gives you better air flow, so that's better on top end but you loose the back pressure which is for bottom end.

Solution: Step harder!

I'm autocrossing and am stepping harder, so an aftermarket muffler my need to be thought about more carefully for autocrossing. Maybe a one-ball, instead.

Why would you see more power after a few heat cycles?

You don't need to do anyting just get the lightest 15" wheels and you should be good to go!

The Ql of the baffles plateaus to the intended tuning, and the damping material settles as intended, thus allowing maximum power to be achieved. Pretty simple, really.

I've had the Milltek about two weeks now. There is a definite improvement after the first week of driving. I have to say i am very happy with the exhaust overall, definite power gains and great sound without being too loud.
