yes it does. Looking to put on my new alta 17 next week and would like to have everything lined up. Is there an advantage to use a goodyear gatorback belt?

Hi. Have you had many issues with the H&R Coilovers for the R53 MCS? I got them a few months back from Alta and the front is completely slammed. I have the aero kit and only have 1.5" of clearance underneath it and have scraped soooo much that the underlip has cracked in multiple locations! I have the rings all the way up to the top too. Springs too short perhaps?

Any advice would be great. I would like to fixe these if I can instead of purchasing new coilovers.

Thanks!

HHFD633: Thanks for asking. If you have the V2.0 ALTA there is no reason for the gator back belt. On the Classic, it is a great idea!

CHRISMC04: The new system is out and about, the photos aren't. I JUST barked a bit at the web guru to get em up ASAP. MY apologies for not having it sooner. The oval is still a few months away.

Mini_Tyler: I have the H&R's on our R53 and R56, and I am ready to put them on MY GP as well. I have not had that problem. (Our 03 R53 is slammed on them with the aero kit and we drag it occasionally but not as often as you describe)Be sure the collars are ALL the way up. You can thread the collar about 1/2" beyond flush with the strut top as they are threaded all the way through.

Hope that helps folks! Let us know!

So the new exhaust system is supposed to eliminate the burned tip look?
I have the new one (installed at MITM) and the left tip is really discolored, while the right one is still shiny stainless. Not a very good look. Any ideas?

I'm going to upgrade the suspensions on my 02 MINI's. Is this a reasonable approach for them? The MCS sees occasional days at the track-mostly Lime Rock.
For the Cooper-19 mm sway bar and two lower control arms.
For the S- 22 mm sway bar, four control arms and end links. Should I replace the lower control arms front and back, or do the upper and lower ones on the back?

3cocinas: The newest ones have stainless tips that have an air gap around the back side. The earlier ones are oval tips that are chrome plated stainless and no air gap. On either choice some good polish (included in the kit, but unknown if it was installed at MITM) should polish off any odd appearing crud, gunk etc. Let us know if you need more! Thanks again!

CHRISMCS04: No problem!

veggivet: Cooper= Perfect choices! MCS= lets check. On the lower arms yes for sure, the bar yes for sure again. On the upper arms be sure you do not have the xenon light package or it will make the install a bit trickier. We don't produce a front control arm, we do however produce what we call our PSRS PT# AMP-SUS-110 that is a really good upgrade for the track driven cars. Adds extra caster angle and thus improves turn in, prevents dive and squat etc. Both sound like fun projects. Let us know how we can help further!

Thanks for the info. Yes, both cars have the xenon headlights. My mechanic will do these installs, so unless it's REALLY difficult, they know MINI's pretty well. So do you suggest going for the upper control arms on the rear as well or for the AMP-SUS-110 for the front.

The upper rear control arms are most beneficial on the track car. He will need to fab a bracket for the level sensor. So not a huge deal. Hope that helps!

El_Griton: Thanks for asking. A pusher pump is highly recommended when using a boot mounted tank. A basic washer pump is generally plenty large enough to get the main pump primed. We are still researching tanks to offer as an option for the kit on MCS models. Your local race shop will likely have a nice aluminum option in the meantime. Let us know how we can help in anyway further.

Thanks again!

ALTA--

What size is the T-connector that comes with the Air diverter?

Is it a 1/4" barbed T or smaller? I'm asking because I'm looking for a valve for it.

TIA

Water/Meth Injection

Alta,

With your Water/Meth kit, where you mount the Nozzle in the horn after the intercooler and before the Intake manifold, how do you stop boost pressure from going back up the nozzle if you want to turn the system off. Do you have a Check Valve in the line at all? I don't want to be blowing bubbles in my tank in the boot and more importantly I don't want to be down on boost pressure when I have the system turned off. I only want to use it when I am going to a track day or when I want to drive "Spiritedly"for a while.

Alta,

I'm looking for a replacement rubber gasket for my Alta Air intake box, the old one got dry, cracked and split after about a year and a half.

Please let me know how I can replace it. Everything else is fine.

scolburn79: Thank you for asking! Yes a check valve is installed in the kit. There is no back feed to the kit. Let us know how we can help in anyway. (We JUST got a few available. So let us know if you would like to get a kit!)

Thank you again!

DYNO Results Here!

Click on Charts. The 10 WHP is a difference you can feel. Plus it is hard to show on a dyno, but the V 2.0 Intercooler is able to maintain HP better as well. Meaning as you make longer and longer runs the OEM intercooler reaches heat soak VS. the ALTA V 2.0 Intercooler that can withstand that heat and disappate it far longer. Combined with the water sparyer the gains are significant!

Hope that helps!

Thanks guys! one more question. It seems that I can only find a 1/4" barbed valves.
Do think there would be any issue reducing from the 5/16" down a 1/4" valve (5/16" t-connector/ tubing/ 1/4" valve/ tubing/ Spray nozzle)?

TIA

Shouldn't be any real issue. Just make sure everything is tight!

Just finished the install of my adjustable lower control arms on my 02 MC and 02 MCS. They were installed as close to stock by eye. What setting would you recommend when I have them aligned? Neither car sees winter driving conditions The MC sees no track days and the MCS sees 4-6 track events a year, with less than 3k put on regular roads. The MC racks up about 5k a year. Thanks
