Cat-back installation

Can anyone tell me where to find installation instructions for a cat-back exhaust for my Cooper. I've searched high and low and all I can find are instructions for S'.

I'm assuming that the installation is exactly the same until the muffler section and that the same tools are required. Am I right?

Any Cooper owners out there who have done their own exhaust install?

You might want to do a search on the top right under the Liquid yellow MINI. Just type in a key word. Good luck. No you don't smell (LoL).

What exhaust do you have that you want to install? It's a fairly self explainitory procedure. Did you just want the manufacturer's instructions for good measure? As with all my after market installs, I have found both the Cooper service manual as well as install instructions from different manufacturer's equivalent parts to be helpful. Many vendors offer instruction downloads of the parts they sell.

It's a very similar install... If you go off the MCS instructions, it gives you all the info you need to do the MC one

OctaneGuy - I just ordered my Remus System for my Cooper so I'm looking forward to your write up. I'm torn between welding the system in place v. just clamping it. I appreciate that both have their advantages but I'm very much on the fence.

ncdave,

you can find my write up here:

If you have the ability to weld it, then by all means do it. One piece is definitely better than 2.

I seriously doubt you will want to go back to stock after having the Remus installed. Loudness hasn't changed much, but overall quality and tone is much improved.
