I Love my Dinan CAI!

I just got it installed yesterday and it is absolutely awesome! It sounds like a stock box during regular driving but anything over 4,000 RPM and it sounds very similar to an ALTA – a very pleasing supercharger rotary noise!

Although I have been driving it harder than usual, I have also seen a huge reduction in fuel consumption – I typically average 23 MPG mixed driving over 100 miles but I have seen an average of 29 MPG since having the exhaust and CAI installed. I am running a Borla street exhaust and have no other engine mods except for the M7 Oil Can.

Rick, did you have any other CAI's before installing this one? Or did you just have stock?

It was stock prior to the Dinan.

Sounds just like the JCW Airbox setup ....
Civilized at low RPMs, hit above 4K and she starts whining

Rick, did a Dinan dealer install the CAI? If so, is the Dinan dealer also a Mini dealer?

I like the idea that the sound level remains relatively low under normal driving conditions.

Would you share with us the cost of the kit plus installation?

Thanks,

Hi Rick, now that you have had the Dinan CAI for a while, do you still like it?

Did you notice any performance change?
Where did you buy it?

I live in So. Cal also, so I could use a lead on whre you bought it. Thanks for you input

Just another thought, would the Alta Silicon Hose fit the Dinan?
