cat busted

Hi All

I have to thank NearlyNN very much for the very concise report of his cat meltdown because without his prognosis I would not have been able to so easily identify the problem.

In a nutshell it was exactly the same as he described and experienced - during a trackday the car lost power and the exhaust went very quiet to the point of being quieter than stock. One other indication which alerted me to a problem was that the boost pressure meter which normally indicates 1 bar started showing 1.3 bar - thats caused either a loose pressure hose or pressure build up in the exhaust system. I wouldnt have minded the extra boost so much if it actually made power but being overtaken by stock cars down the long Sepang Circuit straights certainly was surprising. Hopefully the new rear silencers are not clogged with remnants from the cat! will know shortly when I pick up my car from the metal shop.

I'm running a straight thru pipe for now until Milltek replace the cat under warranty.

Thanks again buddy.
