Aluminum valve cover mods

Hey I just wanted to share my mods I did to a cheapo aluminum valve cover. I’m doing this to replace a cheap plastic oe style replacement cover that had failed after around 2 years. I don’t like or want another plastic cover. I added two -10 a fittings and welded a patch over a rectangular hole that was in the center of the cover. The original aluminum cover had a stock style pcv system made of plastic with all the bits than can fail and all. I kept the little umbrella valve under the right bung and the left one is just open come to think of it I should add a baffle under it… anyways I’ll be plumbing the two fittings to a catch can I’ll be making later. The guys at the parts shop said the red wrinkle paint will add like 25hp so that’s pretty sweet 😤. Anyways I’ll check back in later to let you know if it’s working alright or if oil starts pouring out of all seals.

I am curious how this will work for you.
I purchased the aluminum one from Speedtech and they eliminate the PCV altogether. I ran AN lines to the catch can and it filled it with oil very fast. Like a mile or 2, fast. So I'm in the process of adding an external PCV system before putting it back on. So, curious how yours will be
