Nik & Meb, put up (the numbers) as I have requested (or shut up). Remember, the proof is in the one who asserts the positive. Nik, since you placed the MCS into two categories, both best handling FWD and best handling 4-seater currently sold in the US, please be sure to provide datapoints for both. Thank you.

I have asked nicely for people to put up numbers too... apparently that isn't good enough

Listen, if calling your response silly prompted you to sight NAM guidelines, you are apparently beyond reproach. I made no claims. I simply stated that cornering power alone does not define how well a car handles. Your post made cornering power sound like the holy grail, and it is not, period. You are however entitled to your beliefs, you're wrong, nonetheless.

Calling your response silly is not the same as calling you silly. In either case, until now, I've never associated the word silly with hostile. Sorry.

Let me add, you also used the word silly in your post, refering to how one would look driving his car off the side of the road. Are we using a double edge sword, or do we all get to use silly in the same manner?

Wow, I am gone a day and look at the mess in here!

I know I am not comparing Evo 8s and SRT-4s to Minis. Each has it's place and if you are an automobile enthusiast you appreciate that and respect others opinions or actions even if it's something you wouldn't do. Someone brought the issue of why spend all of that $$ on a Mini when you could buy xyz car and I thought I would chime in and state the EVO 8 is an option and I list the EVO attributes and use actual examples I've seen. The same with the SRT-4. I compared the MCS times to the EVO to indicate the potential the EVO has..and keep in mind it's a street legal rally car.

I don't see any problem with spending the time or money to mod a mini to the max. If that's what you want to do, I say, do it. I'll enjoy the thrill vicarioiusly.

BTW, anyone with a LY Mini is alright by me. So max, you're alright!

Edit: Please note how silly I am for trying to discuss logic with others on the internet.

Really, did I? Go read my first post where I asked for both lateral G force and slalom numbers. Not once in there did I say anything about a holy grail. Then when numbers were NOT provided, I posted again, trying to explain how slalom is only one indicator as to the handling performance of a car. You also need to factor in the lateral g's it can do. And again I did not mention anything about a holy grail.

Calling someone silly is not hostile, but it does not show any respect which IS against the guidelines. Remember, only silly things can be said/typed by a silly person. So to say a posting is silly is directly equating the person saying it to be silly. Calling someone silly or something they typed silly is not at all respectful.

No, my use of silly is conditional, note the if-then clause. While your use was not conditional at all. Not even close to being the same. Geesh, this is something taught in 7th grade english class.

OK, here they are, but not in order. Full Miltek exhaust, Alta or HAI 15% pully, BIG Turbo, Autorotor, Head, Cam, Unichip, Detroit Tuned Suspension, Exel Hyperblack Radius Wheels, anything I miss? I don't want NO2 because I want to be able to hit a nice number without it. plus I don't want to worry about blowing to bits n pieces. Make some suggestions to add to list.

Just kiddn Zak So...ya think I'm gonna blow up my Mini with Venom eh? M7's Venom is fool proof...as long as it's installed properly and you don't run more N2O than your injectors can keep up with. With the M7 400cc injectors, I'm seeing pig rich at WOT. Also, with that much instant torque on tap, you want to be judicious with your go pedal. Don't stomp on it at low rpms or over rutted pavement. Driveline shock is what will blow up your Mini. Peter's still running around with the same set up but with a much larger jet and hasn't blown up anything except the competetion. My experience is more like "blown away"

BTW...nitrous oxide is N2O, not NO2

Are you really sure about that? I mean, no matter how you look at it, it is still a NEON. Not macho in the least.

Heck, the plymouth version was dubbed a NEON Expresso.

If you feel that is macho, I have a Barbie pink 1967 Beetle for sale you may be interested in
