DP performance/protection

Okay party people, finally got myself a quality aftermarket Milltek Cat Sport down pipe.

https://www.ecstuning.com/b-milltek-sport-parts/downpipe-with-high-flow-catalytic-converter/ssxm015~mll/

So, what’s the thoughts here for adding heat protection and optimizing performance?

are we wrapping the DP? Ceramic coat? Painting? A combo? Other?

I appreciate hearing from y’all what has worked since this is my first adventure into world of performance DP.

I went catless and had it ceramic coated by JetHot. It reduced temps by about 30-50 degrees. I then had my exhaust turbo housing ceramic coated by Swaintech. I have not been able to get new temp numbers from that though. That's what I did to reduce temps. If I wanted even more, I'd get the heat shields ceramic coated as well.

Thanks y’all! For the ceramic are these places where you ship the parts out for professional coating? Or are there trusted products you can buy and DIY? For example I’m using POR15 at home right now on all my underbody and engine bay.

Not sure about quality ceramic coating that can be done at home. Also I think it's like powdercoating and gets baked on. You might have a local place that does it as well. Again, for me, I used Jethot and Swaintech. Jethot took about 5 weeks i think. Swaintech took about 4. Jethot I did for looks because they offer color choices. Swaintech I did for performance

Swaintech White Lightning coating is the one you want. It's not the prettiest, but it is the best exhaust coating.

Just an update on my Swaintech coating. I have seen temps about 100-125 degrees cooler than my noncoated housing. This was gathered from my daily commute of about 30 minutes. Also doing some bigger pulls and checking temps
