Reaching target boost pressure

Hi everyone

I've got a Manic Stage 2 tune to my Mini, which should let the engine operate with up to 22-24 PSI of boost, when full throttle.
However, I just reach the standard 14-15 PSI of a Cooper S.

I run a:
JCW turbo
GFB valve
Wagner intercooler

Do you have any ideas why I'm not reaching the figures?

The tuner told me to read out the "target boost". How is this different from what they have changed in the ECU?

I feel sorry for you if you just had a Manic tune loaded. Manic went out of the tuning business maybe 3-4 years ago.

That being said, the Manic tunes have the ability to switch performance maps. Its possible your car is still on the OEM map. Using the SPS switch, you have the ability to select up to 3 different tune operations.
Here is one listed in the marketplace for reference:

Thanks for your response.
I wasn't specific enough with my statement.
I had the tune done from the guy, who used to do the Manic tunes in England.
I've send my ECU there.

24 lbs. of boost won't turn your engine into a grenade?

Stage 2 requires an aftermarket downpipe, do you have that in the works? Did you change to NGK 1422 spark plugs? Do you have the SPS switch? How are you reading boost? Target boost most likely depends on load so it may not match the full boost spec of the tune.
