Charge pipe replace/upgrade?

R56 leaking from stock 2 piece charge pipe.

I got leak to mostly go away (for now) after replacing the o-ring inside the connection but I'm not super confident in it. I was thinking about replacing it with just a simple silicone hose or something like I've done in other vehicles but this one is a bit... janky. All the purpose fit hoses I can find are well over $100 some as high as $300 and it seems pretty crazy, I was curious what other people have tried when replacing the charge pipe before I started fiddling.

I've found one that I'm CONSIDERING, but am so tempted to get a $15 silicone elbow and just replace the top half of the stock pipe... and It's so tempting that I'm sure someone has given in and tried what I want to!

My other alternative is this one piece pipe: Anyone use something similar?

Yeah, pull that whole assembly out and get that Forge 1-piece unit. Not only will it solve your sealing issues, but it will give you better intake flow through there for smoother power delivery.
