Intake look cool.

nice color. dont know how long that color will last thou.

Intake look very cute too.
by the picture on MINI2, it is slightly small enough to fit in the airbox. kind of small.
Alta baby.

It is larger than the Alta (the filter element that is). The GTT intake does away with the original aibox altogether and has a new, angled twin skinned heat shield. Trust me, this baby rocks

The GTT element is over 5" diameter, also the airbox is around 25% larger
capacity than other systems that seal against bonnet underside.

the element is shorter than the Alta and, like most other intake designs, only the top of the airbox is eliminated:

They don't even remove the back plate, only cut 2 holes in it. I would think the Alta is much less restrictive on the airflow that this one...

i like the idea of the CNC milled velocity stack inside the filter. rather than just the filter clamped to the heatshield like the other systems out there. doesn't anyone else see the advantage in that?

Wouldn't it be better to have the velocity stack opening at one end of the filter rather than almost half-way inside?

If you go back & read the first thread in the link, it says why it's that far into the filter!

I saw a couple other products that interested me.
Larger crank pulley
The GTT tensioner stop

There will be other things that they will offer in ther future that I like.

I really like this intake, I saw it on a MCS at our last autocross and it does a few things better than other intakes and is still STX legal because it does not require modifying the back wall. The velocity stack design is the key to it's great flow and has been tested to flow better than the Alta. It also does a better job, in 2 ways, of blocking off engine compartment heat, than most others, with it's twin wall construction and in the way it conforms to the back wall at the lower rear.

Another claim it has, is that with it's angled side wall, it increases air box voulme by 25%. I don't see how this makes a difference though, even with just the stock hole in the back.

I do find the mounting method a bit hokey, with those springs and I wish it had one of S&B's nice 8 layer cotton filters with a Power Stack end, rather than a 4 layer cotton with 2 layer foam on the end.

I have the GTT tensioner limit stop, tensioner pulley, and twin bearing idler pulley. The pullies are a work of art and the tensioner stop just flat out works. No more worries of a thrown belt taking out the crank. Highly recommend.

Odd, he had a sale on them a while back.
Found it

I didn't pay import duties but the shipping I did.
This was for his OCC.
If Mini Works can save that it would be nice.

The intake sell for 169GPB about $296 dollars,

We are going to try to offer it at that price, so you can save on import duties and international freight.

GTT has some nice parts.

And they were one of the first with the One-Ball replacement pipe....

I like the testing Roland is doing over on Mini2 on exhaust backpressures....

I sent you a long pm on how to improve this intake, save the customers $$, make more $$ and improve sales.

Please run with it and I'll buy it.

I'd be interested in the GTT tensioner limit stop, tensioner pulley, and twin bearing idler pulley. Any rough figure on price shipped to 96825 Honolulu
