Drivetrain Fouling plugs/ turbo bouncing
Fouling plugs/ turbo bouncing
(Ive posted this in the general section also)
2007 R56 72k New timing chain few years ago (about 7k since new chain) , Forge diverter valve for turbo. AEM cold air system, downpipe. Mario kart 2 stage tune. Ebay intercooler, new HP fuel pump, Used JMTC 42 turbo with 12k on it I bought off of here so now about 18k on it. Walnut blasted the valves at about 65k.
Thats all I can remember that ive done to the motor.
Problem happened few days ago, car seemed like it wasnt running right I could smell oil and I noticed on the scan gauge that the turbo pressure was jumping all over. And there was no bottom end power.
Happened right before I pulled up to work, was getting on it a little bit when it happened. Anyway went home I could see some blue smoke coming out behind the car.
pulled in garage pulled plugs cylinder 1 (plug closest to drivers side) was fouled replaced it with new plug and it fouled out about 3 or 4 miles down the road. Put in another new plug swapped coils to see if that was problem same thing plug fouled.
Also there is oil squirting up from somewhere up against the car hood, or maybe air is blowing it up going down the road. The oil seems to be coming from the front drivers side corner of the valve cover by vacuum pump and turbo, in that general area.
With car running and hood open you cant see any oil coming from any where specific, and there no drips on ground ever.
Ill do a compression check in the next few days parking it for now.
Also I did pulled the intake hose off the turbo it had pretty good puddle of oil there. But when I took the outlet side hose off it was squeaky clean.
Any ideas ?
