Software Upgrades & Stumble

Do the aftermarket software upgrades, (Shark, Dinan, MTH, etc) cure this dreaded stumble?

I picked up my MINI last week, and one of the 3 issues I've noticed I have is that stumble/hesitation that BMW is known for. Anyone ridden a FI BMW bike? same thing with the fuel mapping there too, don't know why they can't get it right.

MTH installed on my 2003 MCS. No stumble, no yo-yo, just smooth speed build and awesome power. GET THE MTH! its cheaper than all the other stuff you listed.

stumbling mcs

My 2003 mcs had the stumble, a 15% reduced pulley got rid of it. V36 made my car smoother but MTH software is the business. For a less intrusive driving control system MTH can adjust your DSC. I hate the stumble too, you'll be able to get rid of it. No worries,Good luck.

Is there anyway to get the MTH if you don't have a laptop available? That's why I was also thinking Shark or Dinan.

I'm not sure if any of the local clubs have a group download available.

I have the Shark/15% pulley and Densos and never had stumble - just did the v39 last week and have 'lost' the Shark so have to send it back for update. Still no stumble though

In the last few months I have developed a lurch while decelerating through 1700 rrpm (doesn't matter if clutch is in or not) I thought it might have something to do with the Shark but it's still there so it's something else.

Did you do anything to improve the bypass valve? Also, you can reset the ECU. This has helped many....

no laptop

Aaron, I've read here some guys drag their home computer out to the garage to install mth in a car. I'm not a computer person, I was lucky to have DKSTONE help me every step of the way 2 times to get mth software in my car. Perhaps you live near a nam member with a good soul too and can get some help. Do a little searching here, good luck.

Or, after watching the Italian Job and having a few beers, they try to drive their MINI next to the desktop PC...
