2005 JCW Kit: Double Your Pleasure - Double Your Fun

I just dropped off the '02 JCW Cooper S and the '05 Convertible Cooper S at the dealer for installation of the '05 JCW upgrade on the '02 Cooper S and installation of the full '05 JCW kit on the Convertible. It just might be the first JCW Convertible. Who knows? "Double your pleasure ... Double your fun ...." (At least until I see my bank balance). I'll let you know how it all goes.

whoa! talk about double your pleasure! you've gotta be the first 2-timer jcw owner.

please let us know the differences between the two. i was so tempted to trade/sell my '03 for a '05 because of all the upgrades/changes, especially the gearing.

i'm soooo jealous....

Yikes!

An MCS Works AND a Cabrio S Works in the same stable ! I stand humbled before the master ! I need a better job!

Good luck and I am looking forwad to a review of the works up-grade. I'm contemplating it for my '04 MCS Works. I was quoted $525 for the kit and $212 for the labor here in Honolulu.

Aloha and happy MINI-ing!

JCW04

PS - If you get enough speed built up you could probably hydroplane all the way here to Honolulu!

Just got my upgrade kit installed this past Friday on my '04 Works. Spent the weekend breaking it in and I have no complaints at all .

Smooth running with great excelleration as most other postings have mentioned. SC whine is noticable at the 4500 plus RPM mark.

Cost here in Honolulu was $686.88. $472.00 for the kit (we get a club discount over the MSRP of $525.00) and about $200.00/labor.

Got my stock parts back to boot!

Aloha!

Yep, upgrade kit only! Had the JCW installed when I bought the MCS last July. Took a week to get the parts in and installed. Longest July week of my life!

Aloha!
