does any one install short shifter in 05 cooper s? can B&M or alta short shifter fit 05 cooper s? which one is better?

Just put an alta in my '05 on sunday...fits like a glove. Don't think B&M released the 04+ SS yet...I just tried calling them, but they're closed.

 

Do you know if the special MC40 shift **** will work with the Alta SS kit? I am interested but would like to use the MC40 ****.

 

If it's anything like the other stock shift ***** (which I can't see how it could be different) then no. The stock shift rod has a notch where the **** clicks into...the alta doesn't have such a notch.

I'm sure you could certainly rig something up though
