is the sensor plugged correctly? no corrosion at the plug?

buy a wrench for $20 and torque it. clear the code and see if it comes back.

finally,

if you slowly rev the car from 1k to 3k, do you hear knocking in the engine? how many miles do you have"?

A knock sensor should be less than 100$. It is fairly an easy job to replace. Before buying, make sure the plug is tight. Clear code and see if it comes back.

What is the reason you had the know sensor light come on from beginning?

I bought a car with a fron end damage. After restoring, the MAF light kept coming back despite replacing it numerous times. At the end, i got my DME cloned and the light never came back.

In summery, if the wires were exposed and touched each other, the internal cicuit in the DME will be damaged. Cloning services are cheaper than dealer replacement.

Check on ebay for such.

well, you buy a DME with a matching part number, you send it off to someone with your original DME. the tech will copy and paste software from original to "replacement" DME. now you have a cloned DME

I know this is an ancient thread, but my 07 MCS problem is exactly like what's described here. Does anyone know of a solution?

New knock sensor, coils, plugs, rebuilt (by a reputable shop) HPFP, and intake valves have been walnut blasted, yet I immediately get P0327 and sometimes the super knock codes.

two thing remain to be checked. Either a mechanical issue with rod bearings or ecu has internal damage.

What is the procedure for actually checking those?

Send the DME off to be checked and if not that, it must be something internal with the engine?
