What is going on?

I have had my 2005 MCs for about 4 months now. I got it with 111,000k on it and now I'm just over 120,000k when I first got it it had a random ses light from the post cat o2 which went away after I did my fuel filter and never came back. That was a month ago. Now I get a eml light every morning but only in the morning and only on the first start after about 2 mins of driving, never after that throughout the day. Although no limp mode, the code reads p1498 which is a leak after the supercharger. I checked the boots on the ic and they are okay but again not positive if they are perfect, the bpv is fairly stiff and springs back, one thing I noticed lately is the supercharger has been louder but the car seems to not pull as hard as it used too. This makes me think I may have a torn ic boot. Not to mention I do get belt squeek throughout my morning drive to school (15 mins). I love this car and don't wanna get rid of it. It got a clutch flywheel tob axles and motor mount at 113,000k. Maybe its the belt slipping. But again no limp mode ever. And mpg is 23-25. Has an exhaust and air intake for now. And no. I don't baby the car, it doesn't like slow.
Thank you again for your help,
Eli

When you start it up cold, spray some starting ether around the boots and other vacuum hoses. If the rpm goes up, then you do have a leak.

I've used WD-40 for this as well.

Now the ses and eml come on only at low rpm in the morning, it happened last night and this morning, changed the belt, no difference still some squeeks maybe the green gasket or ic boot or even inlet tube???

Both of those lights will come on when you have a vacuum leak of substantial size, last time I fixed a car with both lights on it was the black plastic intake duct between the throttle body and super charger was cracked. They're brittle plastic welds fail every now and again.

If you've already checked all your connections and are fairly certain that they are secure I would recommend looking into the intake duct.

We've got one on the shelf ready to ship if you end up needing it.

Give us a call and let us know how we can help!

Wouldn't that grant me a back idle? I don't have that I figured it was boots or the green gasket
