Drivetrain Manic Tuned

Manic Tuned
I pulled the trigger and went ahead and got my F56 tuned. Chris and crew here in Raleigh at G3 did it for me. He did my R60 last year and I was super pleased.
Let me just say the Manic tune on the F56S is beyond manic, it's ludicrous! The torque is insane. It will break traction control in second gear, and if you keep going it will break the tires free.
My car was the second F56 they did. When I picked it up, they warned me that the first person that got it done told them it was "too much". I borderline agree, it's crazy. They even went a little more conservative on mine vs the first one.
For anyone that's familiar with Manic tunes on the second gen cars with the third gen cars there is now SPS Switch. There is only one map, so it's go hard or go home. I'm still getting used to these new power levels, but I'm grinning like an idiot and loving it the whole time.

@vetsvette, aside from a K&N panel filter my car is stock. I've a lot of things on my wish list starting with an exhaust but after the tune I'm kinda broke lol
@minnie, I don't have an official answer, but it has something to do with the ECU configurations from what my tuner told me. For this flash they have to bench flash it, I wouldn't be surprised if in the future they figure out how to do it through the OBD2. A switch would be really nice to be able to dial it down. The one map system effects all the driving modes. I told my wife is she ever drives it to put in Eco since its like driving in the old Mild setting lol

Thanks. I know on the R56 to get a stage 2 tune you needed I/C, DP, CAI, exhaust, and colder plugs. I've got everything except the DP and plugs and am waiting for the tune to do those. Hopefully by then they will have the switch available for the F56. Maybe I'll see you at Flow or a club function. I would like to compare it first hand to my JCW Tune + NM Module.

A log and dyno sheet would be very helpful for all of us interested in getting a flash in the near future.
It's good to see several flash options available for the F56!

23 psi is most likely momentary boost spike. Do you have any way to log sustained boost level? I seriously doubt a sustained 23 psi is within the compressor's efficient range and probably not the best long term boost level for the engine.

23 psi is peak, in 6th at highway speeds the turbo holds at around 20 psi on a long pull. I'm still adjusting to the increased power so more focused on driving and how the car responds vs data logging, but I can log some info for you guys in the near future.
I wasn't given a dyno sheet with my car. I'm asking my tuner if he did one or not. If not I'd love to get it dyno'd if you all pitch in to help pay for it lol

I would think it would be in Manic's best interest to almost ~require~ some of the first tuned F56s to get a dyno tune with testing so they would have marketing material to pass on to the masses to show all the gains the car got and they we could compare those gains to other tuning options.

I agree, I myself would of been interested to see the gains in a stock over tuned map. I was a little disappointed that there wasn't as much lift in the horse power but look at the increase in torque! Trust me, if you drive it, you won't be thinking about horse power lol
My R60 All4 with Stage One Manic tune and some other modifications didn't pull this hard. Even my modified to hell and back Rx7, didn't pull this hard, but thats not super fair as rotary's suck at low end torque.
