So I understand if you do the JCW tune kit/exhaust MINI will tune your ECU...

I'm looking at an aftermarket exhaust.. can I still take it into MINI for the tune?

I currently run the NM power module so idk if that changes anything?



Anyone know ? seems like it would make sense to get the MINI remap/tune or whatever they do regardless of what exhaust is installed, because they all essentally perform the same function, breathing .. or am I missing something?

 

The tune comes with the exhaust system. Can't get the tune alone. I'm running the NM module with my JCW Tuning Kit and love it. Either the Tuning Kit or the NM add a good boost in power, but both together is a whole different animal.

That was my point, since I'm doing an exhaust, and cant get the "mini tune" unless I go JCW, I wonder if I'm missing out on some potential extra gains.....

seems like i need to make a friend at my local mini dealership ..hmm.....

The tuning kit is worth about 30hp.

 

Having JCW pro kit installed at next service but may not install axle back and go with a supersprint turbo back and a front mount with aem or aquamist meth injection. How much have people been getting for the Jcw axle back?

Other direction is trade for a f57 jcw and add the full AC Schnitzer kit.

 

is that ECU tune + Hardware (actual exhaust) or what?

if so, I'm going to ask around at one of the dealerships.. gotta get to the bottom of this and squeak every last ounce of power out of this thing

Im going to be adding an exhaust soon and need to find a way to get this tune/remap that comes with the JCW kit...

 

I know an independent Mini Tech that might still have a tune available. He installed the exhaust on a JCW so didn't need the tune. PM me if you're interested and I'll give you his info.
