Short shift recommendations

I'm looking into a short shifter for my 06 MCS and have come across a version from TWM Performance. I have searched the web and NAM for feedback from MCS owners and came up short. The reviews are positive from owners outside of the MCS community (VW, Mazda, etc). I realize the only other viable option (new purchase) is Cravenspeed.

Your feedback and wisdom is much appreciated .

I have the Helix short shifter, which is more of an adapter that fits over the bottom of your existing shifter. It's not adjustable but for the price you really can't beat it.

I had the Alta SSK in my 05 MCS and never experience any issues OR used the adjustment feature. I still have the threaded adapter to use the Whalen ore OEM shift ****. I don't want the adapter, I'm interested in replacing the shifter.

We have the B&M on our R53, which feels great. Also had experience with the Craven one with good reviews: http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/..._pg2.htm#item4

Sucks that they've stopped making the B&M... Had one on my previous car and I'd buy one for my Mini.

I agree! I really enjoy it on ours so it's a definite bummer.

Have you looked at the ULTRIK or NM Engineering models?

I decided to go with the Cravenspeed. The TWM looked interesting and had good reviews from other communities (VW, Mazda, Honda, etc) but nothing from the MINI crowd. I did not want to take any chances plus the price was better for the Cravenspeed. Thanks for everyone's input!
