Oil Cooler & PWR Radiator on MCS'04???

Hi guys,

Is there any of you guys already got an oil cooler which is a bolt on type kit to MCS?

The one in MossMini is only for Mini Cooper, really disappointed with it.Heard that M7 and Mini Madness will be coming out with this product.Wonder who will be first and the best one.

And also, should anyone come across MossMini Website, there is one aluminium radiator by the brand of PWR and the thickness of the radiotor is about 40mm.But it's also for Mini Cooper not MCS.Anyone notice this part? This will also helps to cool down the engine fast. With both parts, the aluminium radiator and oil cooler,I believe the MCS engine will last longer and perform much efficient.

Is there anyone of you have the Cobalt and PWR website address?

Cheers,
Peter.

My oil is running very hot.

I am also waiting for a oil cooler kit for my MCS, but so far no company have come up with 1 yet.

Great info, but most of us cannot read the language it is in. It would be nice if it was translated.

The oil cooler included all hardware, oil pipe, radiator....all the MCS in our club are track & street use...the cooler really make us happy when the car in high boost running.... you need buy extra oil temp gauge to if you need to read the temp number, most of our MCS are installed MiniSport twin gauge kits...

I looked around the site and went to the M7 ultimate grill page at http://www.gennexmotorsport.com/main.php?car=1&id=109And I noticed that they were using pics of my EB/B Mini. I have no idea where they got them from. Interesting.

Hi MTTC,

Thanks for your info.Is there anyway for us to purchase the oil cooler from Geenex?I don't think they deal internationally and also accept credit card payment mode for overseas customers.

Anyway,I checked out that MossMini has also the oil cooler but it's for Mini cooper.I called MossMini today and reconfirm if it can be installed onto the MCS and told me no way. What do you think about the Moss Mini oil cooler? It looks great and a good fitting position.

Cheers,
Peter.

That's $690 installed. No it doesn't have the taps.

Welcome to the club. Gennex has the ethical standards of Roger Clinton.

My oil cooler from Gennex was $700 including FedEx overnight from Taiwan to Hong Kong. It came complete with mounting hardware but without instructions. Oil capacity after installation is 5-5.2 litres and not the 6-6.2 litres quoted on the Gennex website(I found out the hard way). I would recommend professional installation.

Gennex claims that oil pressure goes from 2 bar at idle up to 5-5.5 bar. My MCS doesn't have an oil pressure gauge so I can't verify that. I have not seen oil temperature over 95C since installation, but haven't tested it under extreme conditions either.

We are almost done with our prototype oil cooler. Cost will be approx have of the above cost. We will provide results when completed of oil temps and such. The new cooler will attach to the front of the stock radiator, and should provide some great results.

We will keep you updated if you are all interested.

Dan,

Will your oil cooler work with the non-MCS MINI, too? And do you guys have the ability to install it for us (I'm in Central Jersey).

Thanks,

We are working on one for the MCS as there is not one readily available yet in the US. Moss Mini has one for the MC already.
