Do the MC and MCS share the same starter?

I've heard that a local salvage yard has at least one MINI there (unfortunately), and I began to wonder about like parts (I have an MCS), and the starter came to mind. Given the different compression ratios, are the starters different? From past experience, engine's with higher compression ratios require stronger starters... Thanks.

looks like the 5 speed mc and the mcs take the same starter.
my etk shows part 12 41 1 489 995 for mcs starter
and 12 41 1 489 995 or 994 for mc starter (manual or cvt)
all are said to be a 0.9 KW Bosch starter. This is referenced for
a 2/2003 build usa car.
