What can I expect from my future mods

I am pretty much waiting for my warranty to run out and then after that I plan on making some mods to the speed and power of my mini. At the moment all I have on the performance spectrum of things is magnaflow exhaust and ALTA'S cold air intake. As far as looking for things to do after that what do you guys suggest. At the moment I am looking at the 15% reduction and an ecu upgrade. Didnt the smaller supercharger pulley start at 13%? Is 15 and 19 standard now? This is a deal i found that looks pretty good not sure what size the pulley is though. http://www.turnermotorsport.com/html...ODUCT_ID=MST01

That was my first thought was to buy that, unless that pulley is not a 15% or 19%. I am more looking at the 15% just because I do not want to blow out anything on my car and would rather play it safe I guess. I do not drive my car hard all the time but it is driven often, mostly short distances at a time ranging from about 10 to 30 miles at the most. I still want my car to be extremely reliable and do not want to risk to much harm for the speed of the car.

What do you guys suggest I do, anyone know of any good deals like the one i listed above? Any other suggestions about what I should get? I dont have much money to spend so that ecu, pulley spark upgrade looked pretty decent. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

First of all, talk with your dealer, CAI and exhaust should not cause any warranty issues. Second, the pulley is a must have, 15% is the most conservative, but to each his own.

So there was is no 13% reductiong? Couldve sworn there used to be... anyways I had no problems with my dealer about the exhaust and intake, but I remember them saying that any engine work would void the warranty. So I may call them in the near future and find out for sure. But would they even notice the difference? They are not digging around the supercharger anyways, not sure if they would notice the change or not.

One more thing, where is the best place to get the pulley from, like what brand. I know that minimania now has the warranty, not sure how that works exactly but I heard of there pulley starting to rust after a while. Just checkin.

Here is the same basic package from mini mania a little bit more pricey. http://new.minimania.com/web/Item/NMK1040/InvDetail.cfm But I guess this one comes with a warranty also so maybe its worth the extra 35$?

I think the John Cooper Works Pulley was 13.8%. Don't think you can buy it solo though.

So 15 % it is, what do you think those mods will take me too in the horsepower department. Magnaflow exhaust, alta cold air intake, 15% reduction, ecu, and new spark plugs. How much of a difference would the 19% make compared to the 15%

If you get the 19% you won't have to get ecu remap.
I've been thinking about the 19% and getting V38 from Mini...

Enjoy,

Just curious how you will not need a remap with the 19 but you would with the 15.

from my understanding, the 15 runs rich, so you remap, but if you remap the 19, you run lean...but others can answer this better.
