HELP need some spark plug suggestions

Hi all as always I am confused again. I ordered the Alta Supercharger Pulley kit and installed everything except for the tensioner stop. I am very confused now because the plugs that were in the pack were the Brisk Racing 1 colder for the 17% pulley. When I got them out of the pack they were gaped at around .035 and the site said I should have them gaped at 0.027 so I re gapped them and installed them with the new magenecor competition wires, and the MSD Coil pack all included in the kit. Now I am getting messages and and comments stating I should ditch the MSD coil pack, run stock wires, and NGK plugs? HELP, I am at a loss of what to do?

You can never go wrong w/ stock coilpack, leads & 1 step colder NGKs w/ your new 17% pulley. These parts need no upgrades.

Just get "jcw" spec NGK plugs....
They are the same as the S, BUT one step colder...
I have run the msd coil for years, no issues, but no gains...was just a cheaper replacment for the stock one, that has brass terminals...
Some claim the msd coil will "fry" your ecu...but have heard of folks with other 3rd party coils that had issues or even OEM... so urban legend or fact who knows.
Just understand a COIL does not really make power, and MIGHT cause issues of the ugs are not gapped to match.
The stock plugs are a multi-prong plug...most aftermarket plugs are single...one more thing to consider.

list price is about $30 EACH...but you can find them for 7-10$ each....
Many folks runk the NGK iridium's with no issues...a but easier to find, but a single electrode (fine wire) design...
Just be sure to use a TORQUE WRENCH when you re-install....
the r53 has been know to spit OUT plugs...and rip the threads in the head...over-tightening does the same!!

We've never had good luck with the Brisk plugs so we avoid them. Go with the NGKs and be done they always work and are reliable.
We keep them in stock

As for the coil. Again not been a big fan as the numbers don't show power gain with the MSD and no more voltage than stock. But the worse thing about the MSD is you can't use the stock bolts with the rubber mounts. We use the Screamin Demon as we have them where you can use the stock bolts to keep the look right and vibration off the coil.
Check out our ignition kit to get everything:

I've been very satisfied with NGK's no matter what I've ever put them in! Bikes cars it didn't make any difference, they were always something that could be counted on.

Totally agree used NGKs in my dirtbikes, harleys, and cars now the MINI can't go wrong. I ended up installing them today and could actually hear a difference in the idle as well as tell a difference in snappiness. SWEET!

I was looking up the bkr7equp on ebay and they seem to have them for just under $30. Should it be fine buying it from there? Never purchased spark plugs off ebay before.

Thanks

I bought mine at Oreilly auto parts and If I remember they were about 32 for the set. I would not hesitate to buy from EBAY (if the feedback is great) or Amazon. I really like amazon because I have the Prime membership and get "free" 2 day shipping.

I just checked Amazon and they had them for 10.22 with free 2 day shipping with Prime. They also have them cheaper without the prime shipping. Just an FYI

+1 for O'reilly Auto Parts. I got mine from there this week and they were 33 with tax. But ebay is awesome too.
