ECS Tuning & all,

update to my update.
My shop spoke directly with Milltek yesterday. Their current F56 200 cel down pipe & cat back full system fits 2016 JCW hatch.

Their JCW system scheduled for next year is a electronic valve system.

"Does f5135 have to be welded on to stock dp?" Just clamped.

Yes,

We spoke with Milltek and they stated will not fit for the fJCW. Maybe something lost in translation with your shop ?

Hi Eric,

has it been designed to make HPP or just sport sound?

I'm suspicious of this, because the engines are identical on the outside. My $0.02 is they don't know that and are blindly assuming different model = different engine = different exhaust.

The downpipe part numbers are identical between F55 Cooper S B48, F56 Cooper S B48, and JCW B48.

Rye,

ur probably right but three sources plus the Milltek factory have confirmed it wont fit.
I would like to take a chance but 2k is a lot of money to waste plus labor.

Like Rye said, the exhaust should fit both S and JCW. All other manufacturers (Remus, NM, Armytrix, etc) only have one type of exhaust for both application. Even OEM JCW Pro or JCW non valved are interchangeable.
I think this Kenny guy is a bit out of the loop. I've emailed him about fitting Milltek DP on stock exhaust and he also said it cannot be done. Their website and even ECS implies that it could in fact be done with the appropriate adapter (Euro/US).

"Hi Michael,

Thank you for your email.

As stated on our website, our downpipes/sports cats only link up to our Milltek Cat Back exhaust systems.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Thanks,

Kenny Longdon

Good point,

I see the confusion on the down pipe adapter to oem exhaust with that Kenny dude.

But ECS also states no go for 2016 JCW full system plus down pipe.

Getting up "on the pipe" as they say!

their website says 10-14 hp. I take hp figures with a grain of salt regardless of claims. I'm thinking about pairing their exhaust with a Milltek catless DP though and that combo should def be good for a few ponies, especially after a tune.

I will post a video soon, but at 477 miles I just did the muffler delete with DC Sports 3" dual tailpipe. Looks factory and sounds amazing with absolutely zero drone at any speed.

This is the tips that I used

talk about biting my lip long enough. i was involved with the development process for this and all i can say is man am i excited...

for the record, i came from a muffler-delete setup and i love this so much more. i know there's mention that the muffler-delete doesn't drone....but it does... it really does...it was okay at first but then it got on my nerves. Now with my new setup, i'm enjoying the cars sound a lot more.

BTW, this isn't one of those 'Don't-buy-the-existing-systems-because-ours-will-be-released-in-6-months' deals. The release is imminent.

I'm excited to see the product as well as customer videos but the wait was too long for me unfortunately, especially with there being little to no information released.

EDIT:

Here's something for those of you who are still waiting lmao.

Nice!,

so based on AWE's exhaust history options with Porsche, the mentioned "touring edition" means there is a "non- touring edition" more aggressive option too?

Am i right?
