1) video was last night
2) car was driven for about 15 minutes
3) while this is at idle revving, it's not as much when driving.
personally, while i enjoy some subtle popping, i'm not a fan of excessive popping. would make for a frustrating driving experience. i'm in sport mode 95% of the time, so if everytime i drove it popped like crazy, i would not like it.
We've been doing maintenance on our site and inadvertently hit the link that we showed above, but it's back! Here it is, and if you have any questions about the product, install or results, don't hesitate to call us. Oh, and we always price match our AWE products.
AWE Tuning installed their track edition system Yesterday @ their facility.
Black tips. Sounds sweet. Very mellow deep tone, No drone.
I Like it a lot . Nice background burble at cruising speeds.
Any fitment or problems with droning on the JCW? I want an exhaust for my 2015 JCW and just can't justify almost $3K for the Mini JCW pro exhaust installed price. Do you think the track edition is too loud for normal use or conversations when driving? I had the quicksilver exhaust on my 2010 R56 and loved it, much louder than most it seemed when I'd do track days, but very livable, and it did still have a muffler.
Plus, does anyone know the sizes of the exhaust tubes? I know Awetuning list 2.5 inch. This is smaller than the JCW exhaust at 2.75, would this hurt performance? Can't seem to see other listings for pipe size to include the F56 quicksilver, but not even sure it'll fit the JCW.

Nope- not to loud & no droning. Its actually very tame for a no muffler system. Fits perfect.Looks great. Makes more power too!
AWE designed it right-trust me. The large resonator does the trick keeping it livable. I have a no sunroof car so its got better sound insulation than glass.
Still my wife I have normal conversations etc. Music is fine too.
The exhaust note is perfect.
Dont waste ur money on The valved systems.
The 4 inch tips are very nice.
Good luck

There are many factors that effect exhaust efficiency. One of them is pipe diameter, but diameter in itself is a deceptive metric. There's a common misconception that the bigger (2.75 or 3") you go, the better it is, whereas really, it's an exercise in diminishing returns. A good 2.5" exhaust can flow every bit of power that an F56 can throw at it, and then some (9-second cars with upward of 500 hp routinely have 2.5" exhausts). A huge exhaust on a small engine is good for bragging rights, but causes other problems, and in certain circumstances reduce torque.
Good to hear, surprised on the no drone and since you've had the exhaust for a month now, it sounds very livable. I may have missed it, but did you post any videos of the exhaust from inside the car? May end up ordering the track exhaust tonight, or wait until the snow falls tomorrow to see if I don't get wrecked first by some SUV going to fast down here in the south where people don't get that snow and ice makes it slippery no matter if you have 4wd or not, lol
