S-afc

Hey, I'm wondering if the new Apex S-AFC will work on a standered cooper?

also since you can store 2 maps on it, could i build one for fuel economy and the other for performance?

thanks
Nick

Yes, some have done it but none to date have shared the wiring diagram. Significant dyno confirmed power improvements have been recognized with both 15% and 19% pulleys.

If you figure out how to do it many of us would like to know.

Sign me up on the list of waiting for a wiring diagram. The few people that have done it are not sharing any information. Doesn't make sense to me, soon as someone sells a wiring diagram it will become common-internet knowledge.

Put me on that list as well please...looking into the Apexi and really need that diagram before I can go anywhere...minimania has one, but the tuners are telling me they need more...they also need the injectors etc

Didn't he ask about the standard Cooper?

I've been wanting to get the diagram too.... I would pay money to
get the pinouts off a 03 MCS. If i can't get it...might have to get a
electronic service manual. (which I really don't prefer doing just for this).

Electronic service manual? Is that like the TIS manual, or something like that?

If so, there are enough people here that want it, I'm willing to go in on one

Isn't jlm using this right now. And I think he saw 10hp gains, but it took larger injectors on top of the AmD chip he already had.

its been a few months, but as I recall:

before installing Apex'i: 187 whp (head, cam, header, 19%, exhaust, One-click)
with Apexi and dyno tweaking: 198 whp (tried mightly to hit the 200whp landmark, but no)
two weeks later:
with apexi, 440cc injectors and dyno tweaking 212hp, 179ft-lbs. and a very nice A/F curve. There is still a bit to be had by slightly more aggressive tuning above 6000, maybe up to 220, but the torque curve is plenty good otherwise.

If someone wants to examine my harness to figure it out on their own, I wouldn't object, but I don't want to be responsible for it. SPI installed it, I didn't watch exactly what he did, and they are apparently reluctant to publish the wiring data, probably for a good reason.

It's probably not a NASA secret, however
