What mods can I make to a MCS that would not be made by JCW or DINAN's tune kit(if it ever comes out) that will add HP and performance. Also anyone know when DINAN is putting thier tune kit out?

before any power upgrade.. if i were u i'd put on a large rear sway bar, and ditch the runflats before considering any power upgrades... instantly you'd feel the mcs would handle the way it should've from the factory

and btw, you are probably better off with bbr's kit, you might even save a bundle despite you hv to ship it from england

Roo,

I met you at the dealership right before you had to go off on a trip.
Good to hear from you.

The problem with DINAN is that they announced they would be having many upgrades for the MCS with more to follow for the MC back in October of 2003 and that it would be ready around April but that came and left then May, and now we are about to forge into July and still no official word.

Suffice to say that they have plans but no firm date on any products. They will have a full line of products but your guess when that would be is as good as anyone elses based on no information.

JCW has a kit for the MCS and a new one that is updated coming out plus a race/track series of mega upgrades but it is really costly.

One way to think of upgrades is do the minimum for what you use the MINI for and choose ones that can easily be removed and sold if needed to other owners wanting to do an upgrade.

Therefore simple stuff is always fairly safe like an intake, rear swaybar, wheels or tires. Appearance mods are usually OK as well.

Most of the other mods for power are going to overlap quite a bit with either JCW or DINAN upgrade kits.

Driving school is always good as you are waiting for things to come to market.
