i have never upgraded my car before, so i am looking for tuning my car. i want to know which one did u guys tune, and how much did u cost for it.
in addition, my car is automatic

 

If you search in the 2nd gen Forums for "Tune" it will bring several results. I personally am using Battle/DNA. Very great tune with awesome support staff. If you have a problem with a tune, they're very quick to remedy.

 

i know internet has lots of answers about that, but i don't really know which one is better, in fact, i have already talked with Battletune, but i dont know what they meant

 

There are numerous companies that can tune the N14 engines (Cooper S model years 2007-2010). Which one is better is a matter of opinion. I'd suggest that you take your time read a bunch of threads on this forum and formulate your own opinion.

If you talk to a tuner and don't understand what they are saying then ask them to explain it again.

would u mind telling me which is cheaper with good quality.
if i want to go to stage 3 directly without going to stage 1 first, is that work? or do i have to do some upgrade first, like change the air intake, exhaust, etc
and my car is automatic, is it available to be tuned

 

You will need to check with each individual tuner to be sure what is needed for which stage of tune. And being an automatic does not matter too much with these reputable tuners.

There is a thread somewhere in here that shows the tuners available and what type of tune they have, I just haven't located it again. When I do I'll post back a link.

 

Typical cost is $500 to $1000 depending on if you want switchable maps.

 

So, why do you want to tune it? No offense, but you don't sound like you are well versed in this topic. Again, no offense.

Maybe if you could post up what you are trying to accomplish or what you plan to do there may be some better answers.

There may be other upgrades you should/could do first that will give you what you are looking for.
