I have a 03 MCS JCW. Im installing a 15% reduction pulley and have an Alta CAI so the " whine " is quite loud I want an exhaust that will be heard over the whine, Im leaning towards Magnaflow or Megan Racing. I know that Magnaflow will be loud and a nice deep tone, but is the Megan Racing exhaust louder than the JCW exhaust?

 

Get the quietest aftermarket exhaust. In the long run they will get louder as the fiberglass gets burn and expelled from the can.

 

Get the Alta catback system, it's well priced and makes my car sound like a little rally car. It has a nice pop and burble sound to it. I have the Alta CAI, reduction pulley, and oil catch can.

Get the one that you like. Sound, performance, and cost. There is no simple answer to this question. You'll get lots of suggestions, but most will have only experienced their stock system and what ever they're running at the moment.
I'm happy with my CNT, but it's a 2nd gen, and like I said. . . the only thing other than stock I've run on this vehicle.

i have the magnaflow, no regrets. when i hammer on it with the alta intake the whine is well balanced with the sound of the magnaflow, that being said the magnaflow sounds amazing and is definently louder than other brands, my buddy has the scorpion with a header, and i still have more tone and volume.

there is a tid bit of drone on the highway, i dont mind it, defiently have been in cars with worse drone, and it sounds great through out the rev range. from idle to 3k its very calm, then it hits 3.1k it sounds like its in the area designed for it and lets out a beautiful soundtrack.

i have no regrets of getting the system, got it on amazon as well, and had a 25% off coupon for magnaflow products
