I'm glad I bought mine in April! I could not be happier with everything about this exhaust. Unwrapping it after delivery was one of the best parts. It's shiny and VERY well built. My roommate who used to do a lot of welding made a note of this lol

The drone is very minimal under 3k. Above 3k and it doesn't matter because that probably means your punching it, which I mean with this system, why wouldn't you?! Idle sounds beautiful, and very racecar-esque.

The best part are tunnels, especially if you have an underdrive pulley on the s/c. With your foot all the way down, the exhaust SCREAMS in tunnels. Going to go shift? Get ready to hear a gunshot.

This. System. Is. Perfect!

Glad to hear your happy also, I almost forget about the drone because my sunroof is almost always cracked and it reduces it quite a bit.

You guys think it sounds great now. Put a header on it and be prepared to be blown away!

How does the Scorpion exhausts sound compared to other systems like Alta, Borla, JCW, and some of the other systems out there? Is the Scorpion louder than most, about the same, quieter?

Are you guys running the Scorpion exhaust with or without the factory resonator?

Thanks!

It's non resonated, it's about Borla loud from the research I've done.

It's louder than the JCW. I don't think its as loud as the Alta. It's a tame system when you're just cruising but get on it and it wakes up nicely.

What about when you are cruising on the highway at around 3000rpms......is it annoying? My JCW exhaust is pretty quiet on the highway, where I spend a lot of time.

Yeah when cruising the highway at 70-80 it's not loud at all. You can easily carry on a conversation or listen to the radio. I'd think a used JCW system in good shape should be worth $400-500 easy.

What sort of header would you recommend? I was thinking of maybe an OBX but I'm not sure of the quality and the flow.

OR an RMW header with either no cat or the high-flow cat.

OR if there's something better (?) that anyone knows of I'd appreciate any input, specific to the Scorpion system.

I have the obx. My stock one cracked and I needed something quick. That's all my budget allowed and it's been working great so far. Scorpion does make one as well. The RMW header is nice i just couldn't swing the extra 1K for it.

Besides some extra noise and maybe a small little power ncrease at high rpms....does a $1000 header (or any aftermarket header for that matter) do anything else?

what else would you expect it to do? Could be a good power gain with the right mods.

I definetly felt an increase in mid range power after putting the header in. I haven't been able to get the car retuned yet to see the actual gains.
