Bov recirc valve n18 engine problem!

I followed exactly every step of the installation guide
First they do not mention in the installation guide that you have to shave the electric plug for it to fit Thank you forge !
Second since I installed the BOV , I keep geeting every morning when I start the car with a cold
Engine a check engine light
Went to my mini garage and scanned the fault it showed on the scanner :
Fault code ; 28DB throttle valve actuator , closing spring check , error during spring check !
Did someone experience the same problem and
Thank you

Are you sure you have the right forge part? It is a different kit for the N14 vs N18 engines. The plugs are different. You should not have to shave the plug?

Never had that code. I did once get the 2885 boost implausibility code when the vacuum lines were actually reconnected wrongly

I am quite sure it is , it says countryman n18 engine and the bov valve ref is :FMDVR60R
the intriguing part in the installation document they sent in the box is that they do not mention anything about the electric plug and how to fit it so I found out on this forum that some people had to shave some plastic to fit the plug.

N18 Owners,

I know its been awhile, just wondering how your DVs have been operating? Mine feels like all is good after installing it couple weekends ago. However, I am not totally sure what I should be hearing and or feeling. I currently hear the pronounced Pshhh sound due to my open Intake Filter. Also hearing a whistle type noise when on light throttle cruising around neighborhoods between 2-3000 RPM. Anyone else experience this with their N18's. Like I said, overall I'm happy with it. Just wanted some clarity on how to test that it is functioning correctly and performing it's task.

Thanks,,,
