Quote: Here is a quick video of my GP2 going from 40mph to a little over 90mph on Map B 91octane and 100% meth. I scheduled to dyno Wednesday night for map B with and Map C with MS109 and M1 Meth

Nice strong pull! What psi and what exhaust?

Hit 160mph without a problem. Ran out of space so I had to back off. I wonder how high it will go. It was still pulling! Any of you stage 3 folks tested the speed limiter? It is definately removed.

160 on the dyno or 160 on an actual road or track?

Re-read what he wrote. You don't run out of space on a dyno. It was on an actual road or track.

Well, excuse me for insulting your intelligence. If the claim is 160mph in a MINI hatchback I call ********. The aerodynamics of pushing the box design of a MINI through the air at that speed and still be "pulling" is unlikely.

No apology necessary. But it's accepted nonetheless.

Maybe he'll take a video next time. There are numerous videos on YouTube that have modified MINIs pegging out the speedo.

That being said the word "pulling" is quite subjective.

Yeah 160 mph on roads. Hit a few 154s 156s. Finally maxed the speedo but it felt like it had more life. Maybe I can record a video one day. At least I know the speed limiter at 147 mph is removed.

So I've browsed a ton on the forums but I don't really post on NAM. But thanks to the great comments and advice you guys have, I have a couple questions.
I currently have the JB+, and, set to 70%, it's great fun, but I have a stock IC, so thanks to heat soak the fun dies down in a few pulls.
Should I get a Forge IC, or go for Manic plus SPS first? I have some money saved up, but I'm not ready for a huge purchase ($750+).

Welcome.
I say Forge IC then Stage 2 Manic Tune.
You will be extremely happy. Without the IC you have serious limitations in regards to tuning and making power.

+1
I saw great gains when I installed my Alta FMIC along with the JB+

FMIC, DP (catless), and a Meth kit = awesome results when running the Manic Stage II plus😁

The first thing you need is an intercooler or Methanol kit (or both) and then a Manic Tune. Manic, is even more aggressive with boost and the window of time it can hold boost, so "heat soak" would only be worse. mQubed Motorsport, Manic Tuning Dealer

Thanks for the helpful replies everyone! FMIC in a few weeks then.
As I live in South Florida, there's no dealer in my area for the Manic tune that is within reasonable driving distance (all out of state).
As a result, I would have to ship the ECU out to someone.
Mario, would you be able to flash the tune in California?
Otherwise, I know you all would be helpful in finding someone who can.

No problem, I just UPS expressed two ECU's, one to Miami and the other to Kansas today. 90% of my business is out of state.

Great!
I'll send you an email as soon as I get the FMIC. Won't be able to wait much longer until I take the plunge. This will become an addiction, won't it?

Wow. I am in awe right now.
Just met up with my buddy. '03 Cobra. 4.6L Supercharged V8. Intake, Intercooler, Fully Catless, Injectors, Supercharger Pulley, and a tune.
Expected to be annihilated by him from the start.
We did a few runs for fun and I could not believe the results.
From 45-120mph we were dead even. I'd be pulling on him then he would be pulling on me then I'm back to pulling then side by side. Wow. Stage 3 Mini's are no joke.
Rode in his car and pulled just like my car.
I haven't had a good race in a while. I guess the weight of the V8 and the RWD is a big disadvantage.

Go Pro Mounts
Somewhat off topic, but being it is in lieu of posting some awesome Manic pulls, thanks to my Wifeys Anniversary gift to me; "HERO 3+" 😬

Question; what's the best mount out there to support in Cockpit shoots? I'm looking for one to work on the head rest poles.

Craven has a nice headrest mount, or you can DIY. I have used the GoPro suction cup mount on the windshield with the camera upside down, there's a setting to flip the video.
