I'm curious. Are you the only distributor or 'official' distributor? I'm glad to see the tuning options open up as last year the only tuning option for me would've been to buy a used AP, try to contact somewhere very far away who use to offer a tune and since had pulled it, or drive across state lines.

And then I ran into the issue worrying if a tune is conservative for reliability sake vs. bleeding edge and will tray the car.

... confusing and needed several good thinks to decide. Good to see a community!

We are one of their distributors. I do not know the full details on who else distributes DNA's tune, but we work closely with DNA to ensure that our customers find the best tuning options/solutions available in this MINI community. Maybe there are more DNA tuners, but none have been interested in marketing their tune, for unknown reasons. Our stg2 will find you pushing 14-16lbs of boost and as ra2fanatic has shown, DNA's stg2 pushed him to 209whp. I would not hesitate to say he can achieve over 220whp+ if he chose to run stg3.

If we are able to create a family environment among the MINI community, we will be offering more interesting products specific for MINIs. We are MINI enthusiasts and we want to see you all thrive.

We're a bit disappointed that the 2nd gens haven't been as bullet proof as the 1st gen guys, we we equally share the love as an enthusiast in developing parts and accessories for the past, present and future.

We're already looking at concepts and designs for the F56 platform because the N20 will pave a brighter and more (we believe) reliable future for MINI.

The N14 and N18 engines have not been abandoned, which is why Battle Tuning and DNA are here. The N18 is a work-in-progress as we've tuned several N18s, but ECU numbers vary preventing all to be tunable on our end. We are working towards tuning for the N18.

Just came back from chillin' with a very good friend. He's driven my MINI when I had Cobb AP stg3 and having him drive my MINI with the linear map, he had the biggest smile from ear to ear and absolutely loved how linear it felt. He was commenting on how the throttle was different too with the way the throttle reacts to his inputs. Now he's really considering a MINI.

Sounds interesting. I'll be keeping a look out what you guys do with the N18.

Thanks for doing a group buy. Does the price include a custom tune or just off the shelf maps along with the tuning device?

Everyone is allowed to customize their tune however they choose. So you may not want the linear mapping like ra2fanatic does, so if you choose to have stg2, you may want to have your torque come in early and still carry through to redline, we can do that. None of our tunes are "off the shelf" mapping. We want to know your mods and we adjust and tinker according to what you have!

If you also have a CEL from your existing downpipe, whether catted or catless, we can remove that for you as well.

Oh, I missed your last bit of the question. Custom mapping does come with the device.

The PowerGate3 is not a logging tool, but it can be used as a code reader/clearer.

Is this one of the laptop flashing the ESU tune or dyno tune?

Dyno tunes would require a user to be on a dyno while tuning. So it was a flash to my ecu

So if I get my mini on a Dyno and set my laptop up for remote so DNA can watch they will be able to tune and flash or will they have to look at data , build a new map and send to me , re-flash and then do another Dyno run ?

On another note. Since the handheld is just a means of comm to the ECU what would be a means of data logging that DNA recognizes
Sorry new to the mini

They'll look at the data and recustomize the tune according to the dyno data.

I don't know what DNA recognizes as a data logging tool, I've never really bothered to ask. AiM Dash has a slew of data logging capabilities though. Bavarian Tech Diagnostics is a good one too, very popular on the BMW side when I had my E92.
