jkagan,

Since you are not affiliated with M7, would you care to mention what the device was, and how it works?

I would like to - I really would - but I would feel crappy about getting the device for free and then spilling the beans before the vendor was ready. Frankly, I didn't even know it was supposed to be a secret until I read this thread, so I already gave the secret away to my wife!

Just pointing out the fact that while I have less than 100 posts I have been around this board longer than dgszweda1 or Trippy. I spend my time reading and only post when I feel I have a worthwhile contribution to the discussion.

Since I saw the effect on a MINI with nothing else done to it and had a boost gauge to verify the results I felt it was a adequate evidence for how I felt about the product.

Having a lower number of posts doesn't mean my opinion isn't valid. I can understand your point of view about first or 2nd posts but watch who you lump into categories during your name calling.

No one from M7 said it was a secret. And I don't think anyone has said you couldn't say anything, just that M7 wasn't going to release any information. So I don't see any harm in you telling what the product is.

Of course you can explain what the product is.

It is not a secret - I did not hear anyone say that

We did ask the few who has gotten the "Device" not to divulge the nature of it as of now.....sorry.
As we said earlier the official release of the "Device" will take place in a day or so......

I am not lumping anyone into categories, nor did I call anyone names. I think I clarified myself well enough in that sometimes a lot of posts by new posters touting a product sometimes looks suspect. If you want to surf the board and comment only once in a while, that is fine. You don't have any obligation to post, nor does it make your posts any less important than my posts. Again all I made was a general statement and in no way reflected how I felt about any single person. My statements were about an activity in a general sense and not directed at any single individual. I did not name any people, and I posted before that I wasn't singling anyone out.

So Peter,

I guess we know who all the leakers are! That is fine holding everything off until you release the product. I guess many of us think that the people who weren't suppose to divulge the nature of the product, shouldn't have posted coded messages on a product that the vendor wasn't ready to announce and asked them not to divulge it.

I will wait for your announcement.

Spelling??? Weapons of mass distraction or destruction. This thread seems to be a weapon of mass distraction, so I think we found that. If you are looking for weapons of mass destruction, might have found those. There not quite ready to release the numbers. But they are there and are they big. I have seen the report, but can't say anything about it yet. Sworn to secrecy (you know the whole CIA thing). Probably in a day or so, once we have the total numbers of all of them I can say something.

Wow, It's a good thing Peter is not Santa Claus or some of you would be very sad on Christmas morning. I can't believe people are getting so upset over what may be a FREE GIFT! I am glad M7 is testing on more than just one or two cars, but this will also increases the chances of Leaks! I just checked again and NO, M7 did not start this thread. I am willing to bet that without leaks we wouldn't have heard about this until they were ready to accounce it. But the PR is always good for business too!

Disclaimer:

I live in the Dallas area (ex S. CA racer) and post like crazy on our regional Forum (Metroplexmini.org). I have been a member on this site since well before I took delivery of my '04 MCS. I hope I have the required number of posts here to maintain my membership on NAM. I have never met or spoken to anyone at M7 and am not affiliated in any way with them. In fact I will soon becoming an official vendor on NAM with a product that competes directely with an M7 product. That being said I have a lot of respect for M7 and appreciate everything they have done to advance the performance of our cars. Patience is a virtue

The suspense is killing me (not to mention all of this useless bickering) but if its only a day or so, I think I can hold out. Please let me know where to send my envelope when the time comes. Thanks

Oh, hey RL - be prepared to have every piece of information you release subjected to the relentless nitpicking of the NAM crowd. I mean, everything from data collection, to measured results, marketing practices, etc., etc.

I can just see the questions now...

Mark Furgeson and I have talked a lot about this. I am ready! I even know who the gang of four are. Bring it on! The sad thing (for me anyway) is I wasn't the one who got to test it! We have our own gang of four types and they nominated a successful Mini racer and driving school instructor at Texas World Speedway to do the testing and review. I didn't even know the guy until I was putting some pretty expensive stuff on his car. I did give him the choice to keep the stuff on his car or pay me like everyone else.
