I can't believe I did it, but I actually read this whole thread!! It took me about a week or so, taking breaks here and there, but I finally made it!!! I forgot what my initial question was when I started reading, but whatever it was, I think it had to do with fuel injectors. I'm mainly making this comment post as a time stamp to mark the end of my journey. like a flag on top of the summit. Now to go fold those socks I've been putting off....

I will share this: I pulled a set of injectors off a Volvo S60 at the junkyard last week (0280-158315), gave them a cleaning with a homemade rig, and the spray pattern does look the same as the spare oem 330's I have. I've been slowly transferring parts from a semi-wrecked R53 to my not-yet-wrecked R52, and snagged those injectors for about $60 for all five (couldn't hurt to have a spare) and they all seem to be in decent shape. I wanted to thank everyone who's shared information and knowledge in this massive thread, it's been really helpful and informative, and much appreciated. My head is still a bit fuzzy from all the information being crammed in, but I'm glad this thread exists.

Hi all just resurrecting this thread for some advice. I am planning on tracking my 03 cooper s over the summer and am currently looking to upgrade my injectors with a WMW quick tune. Currently have 15% pulley, colder plugs, Alta intake and a DT bypass valve. Found some Bavarian Autosport injectors on ECS Tuning since I would prefer not spending 600 - 700 bucks on injectors. Anyone have any experience with these or anyone think I should stick with my OEM 330cc ones?

I follow this thread and caught your inquiry. I see you are in Colorado. I am in Colorado Springs. I have a few posts on NAM.
IMHO, spending your hard earned money on suspension and tires would be more cost effective than engine upgrades, if you are cash strapped. Of coarse, money for track time. If you must buy JCW p/n 13537574132 injectors they are available outlets from $20 to $50 each and the same as the what WMW offers. I track PMP, PPIR, and HP. I own four (4) R53's JCWs, all upgraded including porting and injectors, brakes, suspension, and much more, one R56 which I have spent a lot of $$ on to go fast. Too many upgrades to list here. My untested R56 upgrade which I am installing right now is Tracy Lewis catch can for DI. I do all of my own work, including the porting, and am always interested in talking to a serious enthusiast. Please PM me and we could exchange info if you like. I have lots of spare parts including new JCW injectors. Safe racing, Mike

Hi Folks,
Read through the whole thread, got the message regarding the Bosch 0280158025 / 0280158096 as good alternatives. But I'm looking to buy new, and I can't seem to find them.
However, ecstuning have these: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-bosch-pa...ur/30757534kt/
@TheBigChill Any chance these got in your research?
Does anyone have any experience with them? Looking to fit them on my 2008 R52 S, running stock intercooler.
Already running JCW210 tune with the stock Siemens Deka injectors which I got 2nd hand. One injector is stuck open ... so I'm considering replacing all so there are no surprises with the other ones. I'm about to pull the trigger on buying all four from miniMania (they are selling for about $170 each) but would pay half the price for the above set if they work.
Thanks!
EDIT: Just realized that the above part number is a kit number from ECS, the actual injector part number is Bosch 0280158315 which @cooper48 has recommended in his post. Unless someone objects, I'll be buying these tomorrow :-)

RE: new factory units
Just noticed recently that dealer price on the blue JCW injectors has came down a bit and even though I don't need them at the moment, I went ahead and bought a set to have in the stash for future use if ever needed.
MINI of Orland Park has the best price that I found and shipping cost is reasonable.

OBS - Have you received those 380cc injectors and were they correct P/N? That's the lowest price I'm seeing online, incl from forum sponsors (2x $95/ea or higher). I'm still evaluating what might work best for mine but at that price, I'm tempted! Added 4 to cart but haven't yet reached for my credit card...

Doubt that I will receive them before Sunday when I'll be going on-the-road for a 2 week job, so won't be able to report anything until after I get back home.
Pretty sure though that yes it is the correct part number.
MINI dealers in my experience have odd fluctuations in price, often just out-of-the-blue for unknown reasons, and adjustments in the secondary market take some time to recalibrate, for example right now ECS lists them at $216.76 and may remain at that quote until adjusted, if ever.
I'm continually checking in on dealer pricing and have a list of certain parts I regularly check on, for instance the insane cost for 17517565302 remains unworldly stratospheric but I still hold out slim hope that one day when I check it may be slashed in half similar to what happened with the JCW injectors.
Secondly, I'm ever increasingly paranoid about parts being discontinued so I'm trying to build up a stockpile to have on hand,
and whenever I see a factory part priced at fair bargain rate then I'll grab it for the stash.

Folks,
What is the difference between the silver and the black injectors with the blue top? Arent' they both Siemens Deka?
Mini Mania has the black ones for ~$140:
https://new.minimania.com/part/NME60...waAqryEALw_wcB
I was going to get these until I read about the Bosch injectors (https://www.ecstuning.com/b-bosch-pa...ur/30757534kt/), Bosch Part No: 0280158315, and .... surprise surprise!, Autozone has them for cheaper, plus 20% discount and free shipping!
https://www.autozone.com/fuel-delive...722/545989_0_0
Curious what y'all think.

I worry about the price of used stuff going up too... look at the prices r53's are commanding on BAT lately - even non-special editions are up there. I think I am going to be on the lookout for a spare supercharger. Hell, I would like a spare engine. No space right now for that though - we're going to be doing a cleanout soon in advance of building a new place, so can't stockpile right now. Getting harder to find the interior bits that I need for my resto too. Everything is NLA or ludicrously expensive.
BMW has to realize that gen 1 MINIs are considered classics at this point - I am kind of surprised they have not moved to start producing some of these parts like they do for their other classics. Keep hoping they go in that direction...

I still have a set of these injectors "in cart" but haven't yet reached for my credit card and checked out. I'm waiting on reply from Adrian whether a necessity for my engine to achieve optimal parameter efficiency for streets and highway driving with ECM tuning. If so, hoping price doesn't go up!
Edit: Just now did so with order confirmation received!
Discussion on OEM price hikes and "NLA" ordering status was the topic of the related MF article linked below. IMO, Gabriel did a good job outlining the problem statement. OTOH, only 13 replies (including my own and at least one other NAM member) since published 3 months ago which then begs the question whether those empowered at BMW might actually read that article and if so, take any definitive actions. Sadly, I suspect not but one can always hope...

Every year that goes by I keep waiting on either BMW supporting the collectors for the G1 cars, or someone starting to reproduce decent parts. Surely, at this point, BMW must realize that G1 cars are classics. Many examples have sold for more than the original price, and even non-special edition R53's with higher miles are approaching 5 figures. Engine electricals, motor mounts, etc. are being reproduced, and fenders and hoods., but what about side skirts, switch panels, and interior parts. I keep hoping, they keep disappointing. Maybe someday....

Yeah, mine got delivered very quickly too!
Was out-of-town though so couldn't inspect them.
Now back home and can verify trueblue factory JCW spec.
Much better price than the crazy number that they were previously selling for, but generally still a bit expensive, especially in contrast to the China ebay knockoffs which are cheap as chips, but I just can't bring myself to trust those even if initial flow rates are the same as the factory units because only time will tell and I'd be more willing to gamble if someone did the same flow rate test after having them in use for 16 years without failure as my original OE injectors are still rock-solid reliable after all these years and 150k miles.
BMWPARTSWORLDWIDE is now my go to place for OE parts.
I totally miss my old dealer though, MINI of Kennesaw who had easy online ordering for good low prices and it was great going to pick up in person.
Now my other 2 dealer options are 120-140 miles roundtrip and currently their online ordering is disabled so you have to ring them up on the phone, then get quoted prices on the higher side, so it's a big bummer because some of the larger parts are a bit pricey on shipping if ordered from an online dealer...
...like just this morning I ordered a new Canadian-spec radiator and delivery fee was $53.50 but their parts price beat my 2 local options by $75,
and beat ECS by an even bigger margin...
:
...threw in the GP license plate trim too because they had it at a good price and it added no cost to the shipping,
for a long time this part was like stupid money so I'm glad to see it more reasonable even if still pricey for a dumb piece of simple vinyl.

^^^ being the real deal with no worries. Ordered my set 14April and still not shipped but no complaints, since webpage doesn't imply in-stock plus price remains $94.88. I'd rather pay more to ensure proven performance and reliability. So now, I'll wait even longer while away a few weeks. Hoping they arrive during, with plans to install and arrange time with Adrian to tune my ECU (programming adapter/cables now on hand)...

I installed a set of Bosch 380cc injectors that are recommended by adriancl. They are made for an Audi TT but have the same specs as Mini JCW injectors and do not require an adapter. So far they are running very well. FCPEuro had them for about $140/set when I bought them a few months ago.
