Hi All,

I am about to purchase my first MCS. I want to do a couple performance mods, and I am looking for a good shop to do this in New York City or Nassau County. I am looking to do a pulley, and probably an intake. Does anyone know of a reputable and hopefully fair priced place to get this done?

Thanks,
Hernando

I live on Long Island and make the trip down to Helix Minisports. www.helix13.com

There is also a place in Huntington called RPM. Check www.newyorkmini.org for there info (they are a sponsor on that sight).

Helix is worth the drive to Philly. Trust me. You don't want just anyone installing that pulley. Plus no one was more experience on MINIs than Helix.

HI Guys,

Thanks for the info. Sounds like a no-brainer. I had contacted Helix and they seemed nice, I was just hoping for something closer.

Thanks,
Hernando

Here is another suggestion from a NY Mini owner:

Do not pass go.....

do not brake for squirrels.....

go directly to Helix and tell Eric you want the full New York treatment
(that's a 19% with a 1-ball.....to go, hold the Plasma)

Go have a cheesesteak.

In a couple of hours you will be tearing up Lungisland!
