non ethanol gas

There's a chevron station with non ethanol 92 close to my work is it worth running in these cars? For either power and/or fuel economy?

Some folks notice better drivability....
It does have more BTU's per gallon...and that is what determines MPG's (you might see a few fractions of a MPG compared to e-10)...so give it a try...but kinda doubt you will notice much outside of better start in the cold AM's!!
I would not go out of my way to get it, but if it was convient, and not more than a couple cents more...might be worth it!

Any noticeable power gain?
and would $0.50ish a gallon more over 92e10 be "worth it"

it's a toss up. Could help, could be about the same. Depends on driving style, ethanol content of your usual gas, etc. try it VS a full tank of ordinary premium, track your MPG. see if the cost and performance adds up.

I am a believer in E0 - no ethanol gas. It is widely available where I live and my impressions are based on many tanks go both E10 and E0. First, one tank is not going to prove anything. It takes several in a row to get pure E0 in and to get the OBC to adapt.

I have measured an 8% - 11% increase in milage under a wide range of driving conditions over several thousands of miles. This is more than the price-premium in my area so, like found money!

Opinions are interesting and sometimes useful. I feel I have earned mine and have the data to support them.

Also beware - less than honest retailers will sometimes pass off E10 as E0 - there is a profit motive. I am relatively sure of my supply since it comes from a single distributor that takes pride in offering this E0 product.

i see 4-6 mpg more running E0 over E10

cold starts are also much smoother

about 90% of the fuel i have run is E0

my avg mpg since new is 28.8, ~60% rural, ~20% city, ~20% highway

mostly i drive very agressively, exception being the ~20% highway where i tend to go with the flow on cruise

at one point i ran 5 full tanks of E10 in a row ... avg mpg was 23.3 for those 5 tanks (this was last summer)

The few times I've been able to run a direct test i've seen around a 3-4 mpg increase on the highway. Unfortunately the station I used to go to get E0 is completely out of my way now charges $0.75 to $1.00 more per gallon for it and so I can't justify driving that far to get it.

One note/tip that MIGHT help folks out...
Most/all negatives issues (except the mpg loss) that i exoeranced from e10 went away with a custom dyno tune on a gen1 car....
So one more benifit of getting a tune....car was tuned with 93 octane, e-10, the prevailing mix in the northeastern us.
