For the 'S'-model:
* NGK Platinum PLZKBR7A-G = preset gap of 0.90mm (0.0354").

For the dealer-kit JCW or Factory JCW models:
* NGK Iridium ILZKBR7A-8G = preset gap of 0.80mm (0.0314").

Eric, I am planning on replacing my MCS '08 spark plugs and when shopping around for NGK spark plugs I found out that the 2 options you highlighted in your message fit the '08 'S' model & JCW 2007+ (NGK 5992). Is this true? as the preset gaps are different for the 2 parts ???

You could always pull a plug out and get the P/N from it. I thought that I had purchased the wrong plugs from Amazon for my 07, the ILZKBR7A-8G, but when I pulled the plugs from the car, they were the same P/N as what I had purchased.

When I was shopping for new plugs about a month ago, I found this same info...however, auto parts stores and online shops usually all list the ILZKBR7A-8G plug as the standard replacement for the MCS (non JCW)....so that's what I ordered.

Lo and behold, when I took my old ones out, my '08 MCS (not a JCW) came from the factory with ILZKBR7A-8G plugs.

FWIW, a good place to get plugs is on Amazon. I found a good price there and shipping was free.

Edit: sorry COOP310...I type slow....I basically just said what you said didn't I. : )

Thanks Coop! I was thinking of doing the same thing before purchasing the plugs. BTW, I have the 14-mm 6-point socket. Will that work on our plugs or I need the 12-point socket to remove the plugs? Thanks

No, you will need a 12-point socket for the plugs.
