Been checking around for the Nology plugs and have noticed the prices are going up. Everybody a couple of weeks ago sold them for about 150-160 but now the are crawling up to $200, what gives???

I was thinking about getting some but now it's getting to be a little rich for my blood. Anybody have any thoughts on where to buy them. I'm thinking of either blue or black for the color. One note about the color, this also limits where I can buy these from. Some places have the price but only show red.........agh!!!!!!

Have you looked into colored wire covers? I believe Pilo has some.

$200!! Holy Cow that is a lot. Not trying to tear apart your decision, but why are you interested in the Nology's? At that price there are a lot better mods to do. I doubt you will feel anything greater than what you can feel on a set of $60 Kingsbornes.

Don't know if you drive a Cooper or a Cooper S, but Randy Webb (whose opinion I firmly trust) was of the opinion that the Magnecor wires added slightly more benefit to the Cooper than the Nologies. For the S the reverse was true.

I was looking qround at upgrade options, and found an interesting tidbit about wires on the Helix site. Go to ignition, it is there. It looks like something from the Magnecor people was quoted, so I don't know if it is non-biased or not. Just interesting views....
No affiliation, etc.

They lighten the wallet and provide color for the engine bay.

so a waste of money then? There are no effects for performance with the upgraded wires? As you may or may not know.. I am a rookie when it comes to these things.

IMHO, save your money for mods that actually improve performance.

Some people will notice a smoothness and some have reported a 1-2hp gain, which is absolutely nothing.

So in my opinion, for a cheaper price buy the pulley and get a way bigger jump in performance. The wires are a waste of money, you can color the engine bay for a lot less money.

thats a good idea. I have been thinking of the pulley upgrade, but I dont know if I am ready. I need to find someone that will help me install it. I dont konw that I can do it on my own. How hard is a pulley upgrade?
